I read this article and I couldn't help but have images of "Muck Fizzou" T-shirts and Chickens hanging from a noose. I've never been a fan of Ohio State, but I did find a new respect for their football team. Here is the article if you want to read the article first.

Even though Ohio State isn't directly coming out and defending Michigan, they are in a backdoor kinda way. It was refreshing to see Tressel even though he doesn't advocate players working past the 20 hours a week he knows that if players want to get on the field, they will be working 25-30 hours per week on their game. I have to give mad props to Tressel and his players because them publically stating their own practices puts the heat on the NCAA. I would have never imagined another Rival sticking up for the other, but Michigan being good in the Big 10 only helps both the Wolverines and Buckeyes. It is one of the best rivalries in all of college sports so it's nice to see step-brothers helping one another out.
This story made me think about the Missouri/KU rivalry and I've stated many times that Missouri being at the top of their game in Football and Basketball only benefits KU. As much as I hate losing to Missouri, it wouldn't be a rivalry if you didn't occasionly lose. I've been a big supporter of Mike Anderson and his program and I can only hope he can continue his success and bring back the Tigers to their brief peak performances of the late 80's through mid 90's. When you have a great rivalry you do great things like honor Norm Stewart at center court in front of 16,300 KU fans. It's classy and I have to give my props to Ohio State for helping the wounded.

Kinda makes you wonder what our boys are doing... Or at UT or OU. Might be an interesting article LJW! I would agree with the statement that 20 hours would be the minimum.
I just really don't want Missouri to win even now and then! They can beat UT or N all they want!

I'm sure all the big schools are pushing as far as they can up to that NCAA line.... im sure many go over into a grey area..... not sure how it can be acomplished.... possibly classes counting as credit but essentially wight lifting..... or something else along the lines.... it would indeed be a great LJW article, It would be a great "inside the lines" piece as well..
I think though through this, there may be a missing point.... It seems as though MIchigan's players really dislike their new coach. I mean the sort of dislike that got Matt Doughtery Fired.

This is why Mangino and Co. have the door to the football complex coded. Players can get in and work out whenever they want now. This is why the new basketball complex was built. Rest assured, players will be able to get in whenever they want to shoot, run, lift, or otherwise work on their game.
Schools build these state of the art athlete's only facilities specifically to tell their recruits, you will have 24-7 access to this facility to work out whenever you want. It's the subtle way of getting the most out of players.
