Kansas will see 2019 SG on Wednesday
The Kansas coaching staff was headed to California on Wednesday to visit Class of 2019 shooting guard Cassius Stanley. The 6-foot-5 Stanley is considered to be one of the best — if not the best — athletes in the 2019 class.
His highlight reels on YouTube have become must-see for many fans because of his gravity-defying dunks. However, Stanley is more than just a dunker. Stanley has worked hard on his all-around game over the past few years. His athletic ability puts defenders on their heels, which allows him to blow by them or shoot a pull-up jumper.
Stanley has not yet scheduled an official to Kansas, but it should not come as a surprise if that's done during Wednesday's visit.
The versatile guard who has used his athleticism to play the 1, 2 and 3 — he also can guard those three positions on the defensive end — has said that KU, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Texas and South Carolina have been the schools putting in the most work in recruiting him.
Stanley is a four-star prospect from North Hollywood who is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 31 player in the Class of 2019.
