Signed Class of 2019 shooting guard Christian Braun started his senior season at Blue Valley Northwest Friday night in impressive fashion. Braun scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in front of Kansas assistant coach Norm Roberts.

Braun committed to join the Jayhawks in mid-September and made his commitment official on the first day of the early signing period in mid-November.

The four-star guard is one of two players in the Class of 2019 currently committed to Kansas.

On Friday, Braun outscored Blue Springs by himself in the first half, helping Northwest get out to a huge halftime lead and cruise to a 70-40 win.

Here's a look at some of Braun's biggest highlights during his debut game of his senior season.

Super excited about this kid. He's so fearless, but yet able to maintain his composure in any situation. He will be a great contributor next season. What a great recruit! Rock Chalk!!

How's his last name pronounced? At the very end it sounds like the announcer pronounced it "Brown".

I thought I heard it to be pronounced phonetically like brawn.

There aren't many non-5* recruits that contribute in year 1, but he should still be a good addition to the program that pays off long term. My guess is he gets Hudy-ized similar to Mitch's transformation.

He sounds like a perfect fit for the Bill Self Red Shirt Program. The KC kid becomes eligible next season and Christian can take that red shirt and then they'll have three seasons together.on the back line!

You trippin' or what? Which coach would redshirt a kid like Braun? Errr.. wait.. this is Kansas basketball, still under coach BS... then you may be right.
