Another big time recruiting weekend is on tap in the Lawrence and Kansas City area this weekend, with Session 2 of the Hardwood Classic taking place in Lawrence and the Jayhawk Summer Finale happening over in Overland Park.

Both events are expected to draw dozens of big time prospects from some of the top programs across the country and where there's talent coaches will follow. recruiting insider Matt Scott caught up with one such prospect on Thursday night — former Bishop Miege power forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who will play his senior year at IMG Academy in Florida.

Robinson-Earl, who played for the Bill Self-coached Team USA at the FIBA Americas tournament in Canada in early June, has had a busy summer and continues to be one of the hottest prospects in the country, with just about every major program showing interest.

The 6-foot-9 forward and son of former Kansas player Lester Earl says that even though he has been to KU dozens of time for unofficial visits, he does plan to make KU one of his five official visits in the coming months.

"I think I will," Robinson-Earl said. "I'm kind of waiting (until) after this tournament and then I'll probably make a list and then I'll probably decide here in the next couple weeks where my officials will be."

As for whether the process to date has been stressful, Robinson-Earl said: "A little bit, but I'm just enjoying it. The coaches are fun to talk to so it's not that bad."

That and more in this video from OP on Thursday night.
