Class of 2019 shooting guard Christian Braun picked up an offer from Kansas on Thursday night, per a source.

The 6-foot-5 guard from Blue Valley Northwest quickly jumped on KU's radar after his impressive play this summer for MOKAN Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Braun once again impressed in late July while play in The 8 tournament in Las Vegas. It was there that he scored 31 points against Drive Nation and didn't miss a shot from the field.

Braun is a lights-out shooter from 3-point range who can also score off the drive and at the rim. His older brother, Parker, just started his freshman year at Missouri.

It's hard to know exactly how Braun will factor into KU's plans in the 2019 class, but the recent offer from Kansas makes it clear that there is a path to Lawrence for the talented athlete from Blue Valley Northwest. Now it's just a matter of watching it all play out and seeing if Braun's timeline for a decision, which has yet to be revealed, matches up with what KU is doing.

About an hour after this report, Braun confirmed the news of the KU offer with a message on Twitter.

None by Christian Braun.

Braun comes from the same school that produced a pair of tough-nosed guards who played in last year’s Final Four, Loyola-Chicago guards Clayton Custer and Ben Richardson.

Braun is making an official visit to Kansas State this weekend and also is slated to officially visit Oklahoma on Sept. 22 and Illinois on Oct. 21.

He has made a handful of unofficial visits to KU and also holds offers from Missouri, Illinois, Mississippi State, Creighton, Texas Tech, Minnesota, Wake Forest, Mississippi and Loyola-Chicago among others. He currently is unranked in the Rivals.com database but definitely is one of those players in the 2019 class who is trending up.

Here's a quick look at some recent Braun highlights.
