Class of 2019 small forward Samuell Williamson will officially visit Kansas the weekend of Sept. 1.

Williamson recently cut his list down to 10 schools — Baylor, Texas Tech, Ohio State, SMU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Louisville, Texas and Kansas.

At 6-foot-7, 170 pounds, Williamson has a terrific mid-range game. His ability to back down his defender inside the 3-point line and then hit a turn-around, step-back jumper make him a tough matchup for opponents.

Kansas has long shown strong interest in Williamson, a four-star prospect ranked No. 35 in the 2019 class by Rivals.com.

Both his mother and brother are Kansas alums, a fact that could possibly secure KU's second commitment in the 2019 class.

Chicago point guard Markese Jacobs (4 stars, 5-11, 170, No. 92) remains the lone commitment in KU's 2019 class to date.

Curious , would I be just totally way off in left field to possibly connect him a little with Wayne Selden? -about the same height right? - both hit that mid range J - -Wayne would back his defender every once and awhile - -am I just totally whack? - go ahead if it's crazy I can take it just a spur of the moment random thought. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

His game is very different from Selden's game. Selden handled the ball and drove it from time to time which I would not expect Sam to do at KU. Sam is a knock down lights out shooter. He reminds me more of Svi/Greene.

Williamson is barely Top 75 right now. But, you never know - he may get it together one of these days.

Matthew Hurt and Jeremy Robinson-Earl are the priorities. I hope we get both of those guys.

Williamson is ALOT higher then barely top 75. - - - Rivals # 35 - - -247 sports # 41 - - --ESPN - # 44 - I would say that's JUST a little bit higher then 75. - - Williamson would be a great start for 2019 and think we are in really good shape for him with his folks going here and such, - -hopeful

It would be a shocker if he doesn't end up at KU. Would be a good 4 yr player.
