Kansas junior quarterback Carter Stanley throws the ball downfield to a teammate on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018.

**1 – Carter Stanley:** Made his first start of the season and performed in a way that makes it difficult to imagine it will be his final start. Completed 24 of 32 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception. Was sacked five times for 27 yards in losses and finished the day at negative-1 in rushing yards since sacks count against a quarterbacks run totals in college, a system that differs from the NFL. Offense always seems to have a little extra bounce to it with Stanley at the controls.

**2 – Pooka Williams:** Rushed 13 times for 97 yards, an average of 7.5 yards. Most of it came on his 60-yard touchdown run. Pooka also caught six passes for 60 yards and his one kickoff return went for 32 yards. Has had a run from scrimmage of 41 yards or longer in each of his four college football games: 41 at Central Michigan, 52 vs. Rutgers, 72 at Baylor, 60 vs. Oklahoma State.

**3 – Steven Sims:** Offensive coordinator Doug Meecham shifted Sims from playing outside receiver to the slot and was creative in ways to try to get Sims the ball in space. Sims caught 10 passes for 89 yards, both totals his highest of the season, and a touchdown that went for 31 yards.

**4 – Elmore Hempstead:** Became the eighth Kansas player to intercept a pass for a team that intercepted four all of last season.

**5 – Bryce Torneden**: He has developed into the most reliable player in the Kansas secondary. Had eight solo tackles, one for a loss, and three assists.

**6 – KeyShaun Simmons:** Had three solo tackles, two assists, and one quarterback hurry.

**7 – Jeremiah Booker:** Picked up a touchdown reception for the third consecutive week, this one covering 22 yards.

**8 – Kwamie Lassiter:** Walk-on receiver scored KU’s first touchdown on a 20-yard throw from Stanley on the first play of the second quarter to cut KU’s deficit to 14-7.

**9 – Mike Lee:** Missed from time after sustaining an unspecified injury but returned to play well. Finished with four solo tackles and one assist.

**10 – Joe Dineen:** Eight solo tackles, one for a loss, and three assists.
