Sims, Pick top ratings against Baylor

1. James Sims: Had fifth consecutive 100-yard rushing game by halftime and finished with 126 rushing yards and one touchdown.

2. Kale Pick: Threw a great block that helped to spring Michael Cummings for a 22-yard touchdown run, ripped an interception out of the hands of Baylor defender for a 37-yard reception and had 56 of team’s 96 receiving yards.

3. Tanner Hawkinson: Has started all 45 games of his career, one shy of the school record. Has come a long way as a run blocker during career.

4. Ben Heeney: Is the biggest reason Kansas is developing a solid reputation for goal-line stands. Had six solo tackles and seven assists.

5. Josh Williams: Active defensive end had two tackles-for-loss and was in on six tackles.

6. Keba Agostinho: Was in on four tackles, two for losses.

7. Jake Love: Jake loves to make airborne tackles.

8. Greg Brown: Had interception nullified on penalty and was burned for a touchdown on the next play but also had a pass break-up and was in on nine tackles.

9. Taylor Cox: If trades were part of NCAA football, Cox would have been dealt for a quarterback weeks ago. Rushed for 71 yards on 10 carries.

10. Ron Doherty: Had great hang time and averaged 44.3 yards on six punts.

Silly that QB isn't on here. Yeah he threw some picks but he also had half of our points and handled the offense well. Numbers would have been much better if we don't beget he pass td and receivers didn't drop a number of balls.

81 yards and 2 INTs is not making any Top 10 list.

Sad that the top of the list is only 20 yds in the second half. That's not meant as disrespect to Sims, just disappointing and explains why the game turned so badly - again.

I thought that Dayne Crist looked more relaxed and on target, than before. His pass to Pick in the left flag was perfect.....except that Kale slowed and turned around to look about 7 yards out and then couldn't catch up as the pass fell from his fingertips...would have been a pretty play.

I thought Greg Brown got called for a bogus interference penalty on T Williams on a quick receiver slant in the end zone. Brown was making a play on the ball and had just as much right to be there as Williams did when they hit.

James Sims, Kale Pick, and Tony three are men.

The rest of the players...I have my doubts.
