Collins edged out for top spot in ratings

1. Marcus Morris: Moved his feet great on defense, frustrating foes attempting to blow by him on the perimeter. Also mixed in 12 points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists and a blocked shot.

2. Sherron Collins: Thinking like a point guard, Collins looked as if he was particularly interested in setting up teammate Xavier Henry, who was coming off a rough game. That’s called being a leader, a good teammate. Finished with 12 points, three assists and three steals.

3. Tyrel Reed: He was on fire, hitting 4 of 5 three-pointers and set up big men for easy buckets. He shared team honors with 12 points and added three assists and a steal.

4. Markieff Morris: Made all four shots from the field and had three assists.

5. Xavier Henry: Bounced back well from a bad night against Memphis with 12 points and three assists.

6. Thomas Robinson: Dominated the glass with 11 rebounds in 18 minutes. Also scored eight points and had three blocks. Took a bad shot and rushed others but also lit up the crowd with a great follow dunk.

7. Cole Aldrich: Quiet night by his standards but still had three blocks in 24 minutes.

8. Elijah Johnson: Ultra-quick with good body control near the hoop, Johnson knows how to finish. Had seven points, three assists and two steals in 14 minutes. Also committed four fouls.

9. C.J. Henry*: Showed off nice jumper, hitting 2 of 3 three-pointers. Scored eight points in nine minutes.

10. Tyshawn Taylor: Made just 1 of 6 shots, making him 3 of 14 on the season.

* — Note: C.J. Henry, though he is a walk-on, will be included in the Keegan ratings.

I disagree with Tyshawn being at the bottom. Even though he wasn't quite making his shots, he was playing really well defensively and put in a great effort coming off of his stinker against Memphis. His points didn't show it, but I thought he had a good game.

Mouse...maybe it's because everyone played so well.

Taylor continues to make wild, out-of-control mistakes. His decision-making is often poor.

couldn't agree more with Brock....like driving the lane, seeming to have a open layup and double or triple pumping in the air for some reason and missing an easy shot, come on tyshawn...

is CJ Henry on scholarship? I thought he was a walk-on because the Yankee's were paying for his schooling... if so should he be included in the keegan ratings? I think there is some stipulation about rating the jayhawks scholarship players...

CJ is a walk-on ... ONLY because he didn't need a scholarship ... he is a non-scholarship scholarship player .. lol That's my opinion only ...

how many rebounds did xavier have? Did you factor that in Keegan?

Collins looks better than ever. He's less careless. He's driven me crazy in years past with his horrible decisions (not leader-like) but this year with such a strong cast and less pressure, he's playing great team ball. LOVE IT.

Good point, CJ is a walk on. Keegan will have to decide to change his rules and start ranking Teahan, Buford, etc or else keep CJ out of the rankings (which would be funny if he winds up starting).

Or he'll conveniently not read these comments and simply decide to break his own rule and ignore it.

Hopefully Collins will step into a similar role as Lawson did last year. Not great stats, but the heart of the team. Also, it looks like that doesn't hurt your NBA value.... 1st round and doing well in Denver.

There is and has been an asterisk next to CJ's name, which is noted below the list.
