After each KU football game this season, this is where you can find out the gridiron equivalent of The Nielsen Ratings from Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan. He'll rate the Top 10 Jayhawk individual performances, telling you who was worth tuning in to watch.1. Jake Sharp: Rushed for 80 yards on 13 carries. 2. Kerry Meier: Showed great hands yet again on way to 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. 3. Mike Rivera: Teamed with Joe Mortensen on the most vicious hit of the game and finished with 13 tackles. 4. James Holt: Had 13 tackles, including a sack. 5. Jocques Crawford: Rushed for a season-high 44 yards. 6. Angus Quigley: Made a great tackle on special teams. 7. Marcus Herford: Returned to kickoff duties and gained 67 yards on three returns. 8. Chet Hartley: A factor in KU running better up the middle than usual. 9. Ryan Cantrell: See Hartley. 10. Todd Reesing: Threw three third-quarter interceptions in four passes in the roughest day of his career. Still, he played well for one quarter, the first, which is more than most teammates can say. I know I ripped Keegan for it last time, but this probably would have been a good week for "No selection" to get another point.Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.And sometimes you're a bug purposely flying the wrong way on the freeway in search of the next available windshield. We shot ourselves in the foot so many times today that it started to turn into a slapstick comedy act. I actually busted out laughing after the third interception.Even though Tech's foot probably came off the gas pedal, I was glad that Mangino forced Reesing to stay out there until he played through his tendecy to try and make miracles happen. Once he settled down and just started playing quarterback again we got another score, and the defense got another stop. It was way too little and way too late, but I think it was a lesson well learned. This game should have been much closer than the final score. We're the ones that made it get out of hand.

119. KU's defense. They played like the worst defense in D-1 so I will rank them there. Where is the desire, where is the aggressiveness....see Clint Bowen being scared, and where is the swagger.....see Aqib Talib being an NFL player.

Why are people upset. KU had a great season, but did not play OU, UT or TTech last year.KU was never tht qoood last year nor are they that bad this year.7-5 and a minor bowl game is good.Look at history. KU players and the fat raises the coach staff got made the team soft. A couple more pummeling by UT and MU and reality will be a litle more clearly defined.Nothing wrong with 7-5, unless you had inflated expectations.

I have to object to last season not being that good. All I have to do is get on my DVR and watch the way we manhandled a VaTech team that many picked for much of the season to be in contention to play in a game like the national title game. To state the obvious, that game was not in Lawrence. We were a heck of a team last year. Look at the win in Stillwater. Look at OSU's success this year- they are basically the same team. Remember the way people mocked KU when it was announced that KU would represent the Big 12 in the OB last year? The pundits had to eat their words, didn't they? The soft schedule thing was brought up time and time again prior to the Orange Bowl. People were saying that MU should have been there. VaTech students got on youtube and mocked KU. No one was laughing after the game, though! And no one could deny that KU belonged there. Last year, in summary, was not the product of a soft schedule. KU was that good. Bring up MU all you want. One loss. I'll take it!

For the 2nd straight week Sharp plays amazing and we stop giving him the ball. I don't know what to say but it seems smart when something is working to stay with it till it doesn't anymore

I agree with shockerxc. Sharp is tearing it up in Norman and then , poof he is gone for almost all of the3rd quarter. Same againast Tech, yards early then where is Jake? Must be we have to play catch up and throw. No defense!! I guess the media was correct, we played a soft schedule last year and had a near perfect game against VT. It was a nice run, it is sad we can not play D
