USA Today annually does a report on college football assistant coach salaries by studying tax returns and contracts of assistants, sometimes needing to file Freedom of Information requests to get the information from public universities. Private schools are not required to release the information, so they don’t.

Even after Kansas head coach David Beaty’s pay was doubled, he remains 10th among 10 Big 12 head coaches with a salary or $1.6 million for 2017. KU’s assistant coaches also rank last, at least among the eight public schools.

Based upon the recruits from Louisiana that have come to KU or at least, considered KU, Tony Hull should get a raise!!!!

Do the assistants have performance incentives in their contracts?
