Non- Jayhawk Related Questions I look forward to seeing resolved by September.

Yeah, I know. It's Senior day. I'm not going to waste time chanting one more year. I'm going to skip past our run to the Final Four and start looking at things that greatly intrigue me, not about our team next year.

  1. Bob Huggin's Return to Manhattan. Imagine if you will for just a second you just left a job after a month because you couldn't bear a micro-managing Boss. Now, Imagine that company bought your next job out and you were sent to work with that same Micro-managing Boss.

  2. Ben Howland to Baylor. It's a natural fit, go to a big time school, start out great, get fired because you cannot control the kids on or off the Court. For Ben Howland he needs recruited player there and in the fold for him to mold. He can win a lesser league with 3-4 star players but cannot win with the kids he has.

  3. Baylor "shockingly" dismissing Scott Drew. To anyone outside of this conference this would be a major Earthquake of revelations, Certainly he should be given the benefit of the doubt for bringing in these big time kids. For those of us who know, that had a mediocre Coach had these kids the last two seasons they would have won at least 1 conference title.

  4. Brad Stevens to UCLA,,,,, Who else even remotely fits?

  5. Tom Crean > Thad Matta, Tom Crean > Tom Izzo. Looks like Indiana Basketball is relevant again.

  6. Seeing what Bowers/Dixon/Pressey can do against the SEC. Specifically, what they can do when they play against Arkansas in Frank Haith Court.

  7. When will Memphis and Louisville become 11, and 12 respectively in our 12 team conference?

  8. Who will replace Joe Dooley when he leaves, deservedly, for his own coaching job after this season? I just cringed a bit when I posted that, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a former player stepping up.

  9. Who will be the lock in step player of the year in October, who will fall flat on his face, much like Jared Sullinger did this year in Columbus? Still too early to decide that But I'm putting you on notice Jack Cooley!

  10. Of course, as Always, When will the NCAA finally get Tax Evasion Charges against John "Capone" Calipari? Side note, Why do our bad Apples always end up in Kentucky?

Scott Drew won't be dismissed. Yes, even though Baylor had an "disappointing" season, it is still the best season it has had since joining the Big 12. Scott Drew can recruit (he already has solid players coming next season). As far as coaching, he is still learning some things. I just don't see Baylor giving up on him just yet.

Let me be on counter point for this argument.

There is no disputing the fact that Drew can bring in players, I don't think anyone in their right mind can argue with that, but Scott Drew simply does not coach his players in game situations. This is why they to this point have not beaten either Kansas or Mizzou. They are by far the class of Conference in athleticism but let's face it. Their 2-3 Zone is a paper sieve, and if you get Pierre into Foul Trouble there is no one to this point in the season who can get good shots for there supremely athletic players/ Talented Players.

It's like owning a pit crew, NASCAR car and letting the damn thing Rust in your driveway

Someone in their university has to see this, Right? I know they are not particularly burdened with a winning tradition, but I'm sure that someone inside the university has to have enough Knowledge to see why this team fails despite out-manning their opponents every game. If Scott Drew was half the coach Frank Martin is he would have won the conference out right the last two season. Let alone, Bill Self. That team is way too talented to lose to both the top conference schools at home, and it's not like they really have ever beaten us other than the Big 12 tourney game, and that was a situation of them having Dynamic Guards who just would not let up, they were actually deficient in the post.

As an Assistant Coach, Scott Drew is an Amazing Hire, but his basketball acumen thus far could not get him a job at a High School... Unless he proves something to me in the conference tournament, or NCAA tourney which I highly doubt because his players would be showing some consistancy by now, I consider him a Coach without his name on the Door.

If Baylor makes it to the Sweet 16 then he stays. Period. End of story. That and the fact he beat us in the Big 12T saves his job.
