The last few days i have been nearly bedridden with some sort of Flu-ishness... AFter being in texas for a couple days, and now this i have hardly been around....
The two roughing the passer penalties have taken a win from the Best team in the NFL right now, let's hope that this early loss will have no major Playoff impacts for the Baltimore Ravens. There is a reason Lunatic in charge Roger Goodell let Lewis and Ed Reed off from league sanctions for their bearting of the officials. There was little to know reason the flag should have been thrown, so why punish them for being right about the calls.

I saw on Espn, Conservative Radio Personality Rush Limbaugh is planning on Joining with Dave Checketts ( the owner of the Saint Louis Blues... St. Louis's hockey team... Ya it's hockey season.... and there stillare american teams. ). I'm not sure how i feel about this. Frankly, it seems like the rams are in need of some help, and based on the resurgence of Hockey in St. Louis ( they could be a playoff team this year after several season in the abyss ) Checkett's might be a good decision. Thinking back, though, Rush wasn't exactly popular as a color commentator. ( no pun intended ) It doesn't seem like a big money maker for him, unless they have successful plans to draft AMAZINGLY next season. In a span of 5 years the Rams have gon from fringe playof competitor, to HORRIBLE. Thay have an outside shot at Bradford gate, and with Tim Tebow and COlt McCoy right after, they have a reasonably good shot at finidng a franchise quarterback in this draft.
Is it almost basketball season ???? I wonder why I smelled the Tiger fear.
Speaking of Tiger Fear, We'll get to see if Blaine " two snaps and around the back" Gabbert is worth freshman of the year hype he has been getting. Hopefully, Ndamukong Suh will get aquianted with him quite frequently tis weekend.
If he does, and Roy Helu Jr ( IE.... the Huskers Offense ) gets banged up this weekend we could be looking at a double bonus, not that i ever cheer for injuries..... Just know we need every bonus we can find.
Sharp will probably sit out this week also, as we should be able to beat Iowa State without him. If he does play, i would expect limited action. it will be intersting to see if the Improvements on the line will hold up after a solid two weeks of Practicing. It will also be interesting to see if our Linebackers have a midseason Bounce like our Running game did last year.
This may be last chance, Vote Greinke for CY Young. No matter your party affliation, this is a candidate you can support. Can we elect him the Cy Young, Yes We Can !

Dan Hawkin's meter is now on life support with the loss to West Virginia, 1-3 in the Presseason portion has not ELiminated the possibility of a 10 win season.... but it has it gasping for breath. A loss this weekend ion Austin will pull the plug quite figuratively, though i suppose not completely..... Even with a loss in Austin, the Colorado Buffalos CAN go 7-1 to finish 8-4, they can win the NORTH by doing so, They could defeat the South champion to get 9, and they could defeat the BCS opponent they would be heavily underdog too by virtue of winning the big 12 championship game. Which would get them to 10-4. But realistically, they are done. Expect him to go sortly there after.

Dez Bryant is no longer eligible, which should pleas the Longhorn faithful quite a bit.
We have had yet another incident of insanity go on in Jyahwaker world, although it appears to be simple incident, without any "thuggery or generally stupidness"..... i will not go into anymore details.
Braylon Edwards, after punchign one of Lebron's Friends after sunday's loss to Cleveland, Is now a Jet. Interesting Side note, Lebron's Friend probably goes with him to New York next year, does this become a Two State Fight ??? Or is New York Big Enough For Braylon Edward's ego and Lebron's Posse ?
I have come out in favor of the Huskers behind the logical assertation that Strong defense and RUnning game will trump home crowd and Rookie Quarterback.... I predicted 20-13 Nebraska.
While I love the New AIC, I cannot tolerate the New Pearl Jam cd. Its horrid.
-the Niners came to terms on the deal that will bring MIchael Crabtree into the fold for 6 years..... apparently he won't make much of in impact this year, but if he works his wayout onto the field... Next year he will be on a team heading WAY UP it appears.
- Expect Aqib Talib to get a few more interceptions this week, Donovan MCNabb is back taking snaps and hitting Eagle's Defensive backs in stride. Interseting Side note, Does St Louis, behind the leadership of Checketts/ Limbaugh make a play for Donovan McNabb as a Veteran Free agent this year ???? I imagine the back half of the year will get ugly for McINTERCEPTION considering he will have alot of pressure on him, If the Eagles cut him, Does Check/Baugh make a play for him ???? Especially Considering the past history....

By the way, whilest in the Lone Star state I happened to end up IN DFW airport, and while there, I stopped and had Some Cousin's barbq as part of the Barbq debate from a month or so ago. The meat was very well smoked and cooked... hardly any fat. The Sauce however taste like a Mixture of Hot pepper, Vinegar and Stale Old Style runoff.... If that is a telling example of "texas" barbq, I can forgo any debate and say Kc Is much better

Texas is amazing and I love going back home from college...The DFW airport is so huge its ridiculous and cousins is the bomb...I couldnt agree with you more about Sharp, he needs to sit out this week and maybe even the game against CU because we will need him against OU no doubt about that.
I dont see that you are "cheering" for anyone in this thursdays game but KU fans should want Mizzou to win that game. NU is more of a threat that Mizzou is in my opinion. I think KU can beat both of these teams but with NU's schedule, we need Mizzou to win this game.

Well sutton... the meat was good.... i hated teh sauce, and i got news for ya.... I like the spicy.... there was a great place in Champaign ( IL ) though that did a similiar style sauce that was hybrid of Texas and KC style... Smoky and hot.... iut was pretty good.... I forget it's name... i could reasearch it.....
Sharp's injury could be a huge factor, don't rush him at all....
I think i have come to the solid conclusion i want Nebraska to win. My co-worker called me out earlier on it.... Any real Kansas Fan would know who to cheer for, and he's right. I do hate missouri more. and it does make me feel better if we beat them here full strength....... SO i think i will be leaning red in that battle tomorrow.....
KUwells..... When i was listening to it, I swear there were parts i heard Layne Singing. Did you have that same sensation ?

I think nu should win but I just have a weird feeling about this game...I hate Mizzou just as much if not more than the next guy but Im only looking out for KU in this game and it just seems to me that NU is more of a threat to KU than Mizzou is...They both have pretty easy schedules but Mizzou has to play UT (I think) and NU gets to play OU (I think playing OU is way better than playing UT) and the OU game is at NU, which is a huge advantage for NU...I have to hope that Mizzou wins because of what it may do for KU...Dont be shocked if we see Cody Green play for NU if Lee struggles throwing, but I expect it to be very rain in Columbia so its going to be a running game and certainly that helps NU.

Yeah that's definetely a PRO- Husker enviroment, at least this year.
Like I said, The ultimate scenario for me is a tie, and Suh and Gabbert both get injured....
Let's hope for a great grueling matchup that turns into a Bare knuckle brawl...... WOuld like to see these two teams knock each other down a peg.

Well I thought about going to this game on Thursday because it is the travel game for Nebraska students but I just dont feel like riding on a bus with a bunch of morons that think NU is going to win the title every single season.
I think I will watch the game and I hope MU wins so I dont have to listen to idiots around Campus talk about the "big" win over MU...I hope KU comes to play on Saturday because they have started slow in early games so far...and for the love of God sit Jake Sharp unless he is 100% which we all know he is not.

in fairness... we know nothing anymore.... Mangino's been Belicheck on this one..... We know Squat about Jake Sharp. We won't know Squat about Jake Sharp until he runs his first play, what we can guess from mangino is this was a serious injury he wasn't willing to discuss..... Sounds like a Quad strain or a hamstring pull ( based onw hat we saw of his movement.... possibly a groin pull...) considering he hasn't played in 3 weeks conservatively..... this would be about the time these injuries start fully coming around
I hear you on avoidiong the imbeciles. When I Lived in Champaign, i used to get crap all the time because of Bill Self. They called him a Crook, a Con Artist, etc.etc.etc. They thought that Illinois was the Best basketball team on the planet.... and for a brief stint they were.... they were amazing. Those places all disappear fast though. A quikc sucker punch and their air goes out like One of Tyson's early opponents.....\\

You're right we dont know much about Sharp but I dont think its a quad or a pulled groin...From Lawrence it sounds like Sharp was wearing some kind of brace on his lower leg around his tibia/fibula which makes me think it's either a calf muscle injury or a stress fracture.

DuVall seems to sound a little like Staley. It is kind of eerie to hear he and Cantrell harmonizing as it sounds like a ghost on occasion.
Not so fast on the Morris accident being nothing. So, what was a 16 YO doing in the car? Isn't that a minor?

Actually i think having a 16 year old in your car COULD be nothing.... but in certain instances i think it can be considered a crime.... again it's a judgment call...... one made by police officers.... who didn't feel like making it an issue the day of the accident..... if there was indeeed a 16 year old in the car

Exactly, we dont know the situation and therefore we shouldn't speculate the situation and since there was no crime committed there is really nothing to report here...If the police thought something was up then they would have said something to the media and questioned Morris with something.
