Thought I would put together a list of what I think were some of the most important home games in the last 5 years for KU in my opinion. I would like to hear your guys thoughts.

  1. Nov 5, 2005- KU 40 NU 15--First win against Nebraska since 1968. This one holds a special place in my heart because my father was on the last team to beat NU in 1968.

  2. Oct 9, 2004- KU 31 KSU 28--Sproles got shut down spured by Nick Reid's 11 tackles as well as 8 tackles from Banks Floodman. The tides began to turn in the Sunflower show down after this one.

  3. Nov 26, 2005-KU 24 ISU 21--Bowl eligible, enough said.

  4. Sept 1, 2007-KU 52 Central Michigan 7--This one got the 2007-2008 season started. KU was going against a pretty good mid major with a great quarterback in Dan LeFevour and running back in Ontario Sneed. KU shut down the run game as well as the passing game. The KU offense was led by Todd Reesing with 4 TD passes. This one set the tone for the best football season in KU history.

  5. Nov 3, 2007-KU 76 NU 39----I really could have picked a lot of the home games in 2007 because they were all important towards the Orange Bowl Victory but this one was pretty special. This one showed that 2005 was no fluke and also started to give KU some real national attention. The stats were incredible in this one (we didn't play well on defense though):

                    Att Comp Yards Int TD

    Todd Reesing 41 30 354 0 6

                                Att Yards Average TD

    Brandon McAnderson 25 119 4.8 4

                      Rec Yards Average TD

    Marcus Henry 6 101 16.8 1 Dezmon Briscoe 5 52 10.4 3
