KG---

I think you speak for a lot of Jayhawk Nation---use the force, stupid. Not doubt.

You guys are smart dudes. I hope either one of you is right, but I'm rooting for Jesse.

My HTR is Teahan for his 2008 locker room wisdom. "Listen to coach".

Robert Brock 5 years, 7 months ago

If Taylor can keep his turnovers under six...KU coasts in and wins by seven. HTR: Conner Teahan bombs away from the corners.

My computers broken I can only use my phone which wont allow the video. Can anyone tell me their predictions?

LAJayhawk 5 years, 7 months ago

Tait -- KU by 12, HTR: Taylor

Jesse -- KU by 19, HTR: Withey

I thought in the Baylor game Rel had one of his laziest defensive efforts of the year, so I expect him to come back and play aggressively. So my HTR is Rel for defensive effort, and also chip in 12-15 points. WIth all the attention on Trob and TT he needs to step up .

A video? Shoot! Guess I won't be able to get the predictions today. Kinda hard to watch on a phone haha. Oh well. Rock Chalk! Excited for tonight!

"We'll talk to you all again before the next game"

Thanks for the jinx, Jesse Newell.

Thanks. For. The. Jinx. :-)

Dude. Impressed with your typing ability with crossed fingers. Nice!

This Detroit team is not disciplined at all. I think KU steps up and takes charges early. Detroit backs away from their attack, goes soft. KU wins this due to aggressive self-sacrificing and smart defense.

I see Detroit putting KU on the line a lot.

Yeeee Haw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mizzery is upset by 15 seed Norfolk State - 86 to 84.

Alohahawk 5 years, 7 months ago

Guess that should shut down Haith's chances for COY.

Ben Kane 5 years, 7 months ago

mizery just got upset by norfolk state, i've never been so happy to see my bracket blow up. this is on the same court as us so i bet this will get our boys attention. no way we lose now.

Alohahawk 5 years, 7 months ago

You're right. KU won't lose after the MU upset. It might make Detroit feel even more confident than they already are, which will be their downfall. They'll think the Big 12 wasn't as good as advertised. "Surprise. Surprise. Surprise." (To quote Gomer Pyle.) KU isn't Mizzery, and being upset below their seeding isn't in the Jayhawks' vocabulary this season.

No way there will be two major upsets of two #2 seeds on the same court in one day. KU goes ahead early, then cruises to a 15 point win.

HTR - EJ hits his 3's, but only after he drives the lane a few times to keep the defender honest. Ends with 24 points. Withey gets 7 blocks, 4 of which are against Holman. Typical double-double for TRob, but he gets 7 assists, as well.

LOL. The TV commentator just announced that Mizzery, when combined with previous tournament appearances, is the only team to ever lose when seeded as a #2 seed, and a #3 seed, and a #4 in the Big Dance. Nice record MU. Another record to be be proud of, as you skulk away to the SEC. .

JRandall 5 years, 7 months ago

this friday night is starting off the best way ever... Mizzou one and done. Can't wait to see Kimberly English talk his way outta this one with his extensive use of the english vocabulary... :) Lets go hawks.

Steve Kubler 5 years, 7 months ago

Only one way to get any better than this!

Ben Kane 5 years, 7 months ago

yeah, if this game had been a 16 over a 1 and it was mizery who was the first ever 1 to go down.

Alohahawk 5 years, 7 months ago

+1 That was so close. If only MU had been a #1 seed and lost to a #16. PHOF.

But this was a close second, which is only fitting with MU going to the SECond Conference.

Wait till MU's fans start screaming and complaining, coming up with any excuse they can manufacture for their loss.

Will be interesting to see what happens now with Haith's Miami problems.

Any bets that Lehigh can pull some magic and beat Duke? Lehigh down one, with 16:37 left in the game.

Can Kyle O'Quinn be an honorary Hawk to Rock?

Ben Kane 5 years, 7 months ago

I hate cbs announcers. i'm not sure who is worse, the play by play crews or the studio crew. Arrrggghhhh!

JRandall 5 years, 7 months ago

my bracket is so screwed right now with mizzou losing and it seems like a great thing.. LOL! Never been happier to be wrong.

hawkinNE 5 years, 7 months ago

Im glad im not the only one with mizzery in the final four.

Stephan123 5 years, 7 months ago

So happy SEC bound Mizzery leaving the conference saddled with a huge and embarrassing loss in the NCAA Tourney. Good riddance!

Detroit is not your normal 15 Seed. They have won 13 of their last 15 games. Four by more than 10 points. They do not go more than 7 deep. This is a very tall mid-major. Their front line: Holman SR (6-10), Lowe SR (6-10) and Anderson SR (6-7). The starting guards are: Mc Callum 6'2 and Simon 6-7. They hit the offensive boards really well (418 for the season). They also get to the free throw lane They have made 619 of 842 attempts (.734). All of the starters shoot better than 70% from the line. They have made 162 of 536 3PT attempts (0.302). KU has made 198 of 553 (0.358). Holman and Lowe have not attempted a single 3 ponter this season. Mc Callum is only hitting at .250%. Simon is the best @ .305. By comparison, Taylor is .435; Releford is .333 and Johnson is the worst @.322. Detroit's weaknesses are turnovers. They do not handle pressure well. They also tend to foul ( they play defense alot like KSU - don't move their feet well). So, they are not a classic candidate for an upset, since they aren't a deadly 3 point shooting team. But, they put up alot of them, and unlike KU, they hit their offensive boards hard. To win KU needs to block out and not foul.

Mike Kendall 5 years, 7 months ago

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for doing a "video cram session." I like those so much better than the others.

I am thinking what you're thinking Jesse. KU wins big and Jeff Withey will be licking his chops tonight.

Good luck Jayhawks!!!! Beat Detroit!!!!!!!!

Alohahawk 5 years, 7 months ago

2 Duke in deep Kim Chee. Down 5 with 38.5 seconds left, to #15 Lehigh. Lehigh with the ball.

I'd say the Cameron Crazies are not too happy at the moment.

Alohahawk 5 years, 7 months ago

Another #2 seed bites the dust. Duke loses to #15 Lehigh 75 to 70.

That's enough for the 2's losing. Come on, Jayhawks.
