Thompson.The rumor is Hunter faked his suicide to avoid being suicided for the book he was about to publish about Washington. After hiding out and publishing under the nom d'plum of Tom Keegan for the last year or so, Dr. Thompson has published a book called "Fear and Loathing in Boulder," a gripping look at the chronically troubled CU basketball program.Utterly unreliable sources indicate that CU AD Mike Bohn received a galley of Fear and Loathing in Boulder from a CU alum in the publishing industry and instead of being upset by the book, AD Bohn felt Dr. Thompson might be the ideal man to pull the CU program up by the scruff of its neck and threaten it to excellence with the Curse of Lono. CU has tried every other approach to achieving a respectable program without success. Bohn felt it was time to think out side the casket, er, box and give HST a shot at the helm.
