Kansas 73, Colorado 56

Beating Colorado on the road is, well....what was supposed to happen. Nothing really to get too excited about. Jayhawks taking care of business. Tyrel Reed with a nice second-half performance. I thought Sherron played an overall stellar game - he looks to be All-Conference material more and more each game.If there was something that was overly surprising or concerning in regards to the game, let me know your opinions. Otherwise....Couldn't help but chat this one up with some of my KSU friends Saturday evening, while watching the Louisville-Pitt matchup, and then UNC-Miami on ESPN. Those were tough, great games to watch. The teams are athletic, play 40 minutes. Competition breeds that in conference play. The UNC game was closer than the final score. Meanwhile, on Metro Sports, the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers were MANHANDLING the KSU 'Cats. It was not as close as the score. This, along with all the other hoops action on Saturday, got me thinking about the Big XII in relation to the rest of the nation. We're better than the SEC (out of the BCS conferences), and even that's arguable. The Big East, Big 10, and Pac-10 are going to put a hurt on the Big XII come March. To quote Jose Lima, "BELIEVE IT!!" Augh. The same pundits who had the 'Hawks as missing out on the NCAAs now calling us the 3rd-best team in the conference (and rightfully so). MU fan, your team is NO GOOD b/c you just pummeled two of the three worst teams in the league. KU will prove that twice this year.Okay, there's a microcosm of my rant. Any thoughts?Rock Chalk!
