Wow! Crist threw that ball from virtually midfield, put it pretty much on the money, and made it look easy. It's been a long time since we had a QB who could throw like that.

Dayne can " go deep " . He can make that throw from 65 to 70 and across the fiield . This guy is big time and Charlie knows it . Go to You Tube and check his throw against Michigan in 2010 to Kyle Rodolph .

Hasn't been THAT long. Todd Reesing could throw sixty yards.

Yea, I thought about Reesing when I write that comment. I am the biggest Todd Reesing fan there is - Todd could chuck it with the best of them (still think he deserved a shot in the NFL). But Crist is practically standing flat-footed at mid-field and throws all the way to far the corner of the end-zone, and makes it look easy. According to Matt he did this over and over during practice. I'm not sure Reesing had THAT kind of arm.

Reesing could MAYBE get the ball 60 yards down field but not like this. He could make that happen on the move with some forward momentum and it was less controlled. Crist is practically flat footed throwing a crisp pass from the pocket and placing it on the money. I would like to see how far he could get the ball if he was scrambling towards the line and really unloaded.

I loved Reesing, but this kid is something else. Too bad we only have him for one season. Fortunately, Heaps seems to be the same kind of talent, just without the prototypical NFL body.

Charlie Weis, Jr. is in college. He's a student assistant for the team.

There are plenty of 18 and 19 year olds in college...

Sure, and many of the players are teenagers. I interpreted KU_cynic's comment as someone who believed he was too young to be doing that job. I never doubted his assertion that Charlie Weis, Jr. may be a teenager. I just don't see why it's "creepy and inappropriate."

In a word, nepotism.

Wow, even when there's currently nothing to bitch about, people love to find things to bitch about.

I love that Crist is going to make our receivers so much better. A good QB can make a team look GREAT!
