Sure, it seems like winning is everything, but really, playing hard is everything. You all played hard, worked hard, made a tremendous effort, and upheld the Jayhawk spirit. No one can ask for more. You have done yourselves and all of us proud. Best of luck in your future Tyshawn.

To Ty and the hawks, love this team just as much if not more than the 08 team. You guys represent not only what it is to be a Jayhawk, but what it live a meaningful life. You get put down, you get back up and fight, but you never give up. In many ways the year you guys had is so much more triumphant and inspirational than the 2008 team. So proud of you guys! Rock Chalk baby!!!!!!!

Tyshawn, you can go out knowing you played on a real team - one of the best ever. This was an unbelievable year and you are a major reason for it. I don't know what you call that thing that beat us. It took a combination of six or seven future NBA players to beat you. I'm just not sure what you call that thing.

I feel sad for the guys, but they should be very proud of themselves! They played with heart all season long, and far exceeded most people’s expectations. We love you Tyshawn and Elijah. You made us proud!

It does mean something without winning it all! It means that I have a team that made an amazing run in the tournament (more basketball is always good) and they couldn't have done that without heart and pure passion for the game. I'm sad that these guys are so hurt when I feel really great about this season; no shame at all here. If anything, I wanted to win it all mostly for Tyshawn; that guy went through some horrid moments from "fans". It was easy to get frustrated with his mistakes but without him we never would have made it to the championship game, in my opinion. In my dream ending...he took the game winning shot! We didn't win but this team is full of winners! Thanks for a great season!! RCJH
