Kansas football recruit Adonis Saunders: 1st place, 100 meters

Olathe North senior Adonis Saunders, who will play football for Kansas in the fall, won the boys 100 meters with a time of 10.59 Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Kansas Relays. Saunders discussed the possibility of also running track at KU.

got some good speed coming. you cant teach speed. this guy should help spread the field and open up the defenses for the run.

I doubt that since he is going to be on the defensive side of the ball.

Gotta like his recovery speed. Lane 5 got the jump out of the blocks, but Adonis got him in the middle and held on.

It would be great if the article could have discussed the interview, since most of what is heard (IMO) is the PA announcer.

definitely looks bigger than 185, which is what he is listed at on his recruiting profile. I thought Victor Simmons, his high school teammate, was a speedster on the track team too? I wonder if he ran at the relays this weekend
