COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP)—A highly regarded basketball recruit will not start the season for the Missouri Tigers.
Tony Mitchell has not enrolled at the university for academic reasons and is currently ineligible to play basketball. Coach Mike Anderson says in a statement that he is hopeful Mitchell can join the program in the spring semester.
Mitchell is a 6-foot-8 forward from Dallas considered one of the top recruits in the nation. He averaged 20.5 points and 13.2 rebounds last season.
With a follow up to this note, I have seen 1 article and 1 post about UK ticket controversy and someone blaming all of the eligibilty problems on coach CAL. Look around people, where there is big money there is always problems. UNC AND USC FOOTBALL just to name 2. I have lived in both KS and KY, by far, KU has the classier fans, lets keep it that way. I just hope we only hear one Morningstar name the rest of the year and that our own ticket scandal is over and done, but hey, the feds are involved, can't believe no follow up story on this site.
Ready to watch Releford play this year.
