Jesse ... he, he,he
Finally, I say our momentum from the K-State win should carry us through for a win------
Rock Chalk! Buck the Antlers!!!!!
Keegan--- Go more caffeine, definitely get that cup filled up!!!!!
Jesse--- For the record, this is the second time you predicted KU to lose---you are 0-1 in your predictions. I see us winning by three or losing by three. Winning by three, if-------
1) we can control the ball and the rebounds.
2) limit the turnovers---that includes not getting
3) hitting our free throws.
4) keeping our poise---that includes not over
reacting to hard fouls.
Losing by three, if--------
1) We let Mizzou impose their will.
2) Don't react well to adversity in one of the
hardest arenas to get a win.
3) Not defend the trey---in both of our losses,
both on CBS, btw, we did not defend the trey
very well. This game is on CBS, too! Maybe,
third time is a charm!
Good luck, Jayhawks! This is against your heated rival! Rock Chalk!
I could see how Keeg would pick Tyrel and Jesse picks Cole. These guys should do well in this game. But the key to a KU win still goes through the twins. When one or two of the twins has a good game KU wins.
I haven't liked all the comments on these boards saying that this game is irrelevant now since we've captured the regular season title and will be a top seed in the NCAA tourney. Talk like that is a great way to setup a huge loss in Columbia.
This game is important for several reasons:
It's adding to momentum going into post-season.
It will impact our possibility of winning a 1 seed in St. Louis.
It's a game against our enemy. Time to break an antler!
Jesse ... tsk, tsk, tsk
I like Keegan's pick of Tyrel Reed to have a big game. Reed is a Kansas boy through and through. He always comes to play in rivalry games. Next to Sherron (and according to Sherron, Brett Ballard) I think Reed cares the most and takes it the hardest when Kansas loses.
I think we see a slightly lesser version of what happened in Lawrence though. We'll turn the ball over a little bit more than we did at home and they will make a couple more of the prayers they were taking in AFH but that will only serve to delay the inevitable. Their guards had too much trouble getting good looks against us and they would have to shoot an extremely high percentage of those deep, guarded shots or get a ton more turnovers to win this game.
I love the Paige comment Jesse! I call it that all the time. I'm sure Mizzou fans are going to start calling Phog Allen Fieldhose...Samantha Ryan Fieldhouse.
Wow Jesse...There is not a chance we are going to lose this game.
If I were KU my game plan would be to slow the game way down and make Mizzou play in the halfcourt. On defense I would play man most of the game and maybe a little bit of zone. Mizzou is not a very good halfcourt team. And then on offense, like Jesse mentioned, they have no one that can guard Cole and I think if we slow the game down and pound it inside then we will win big. Im not a fan of trying to run with Mizzou in their home arena. I think we have to take them out of their game and make them score out of the halfcourt. I know this is a tough place to play but Im not worried about this game at all.
We will need Sherron to play like he did at the end of the KSU game though. Im still not ready to lean on X on the road at Mizzou. Sherron and Cole both need to step up and now is the time to do it.
