According to Kansas head coach Bill Self, KU's game against Missouri at Allen Fieldhouse featured perhaps the best half of basketball the Jayhawks have played since they faced North Carolina in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.

Cole is one cool sophomore. He interviews like a 5th year senior, or even an assistant coach. Cool, calm and smart before and after the game. During game? See avatar.

Cole with the nice TV personality (as did Sherron after the bigMonday win over OU). And these guys get to watch/hear their head coach all the time, and Ive never seen anything but a calm, friendly Bill Self in front of the camera. So Im proud of the boys with their play and disposition, as it reflects on/reminisces directly of Self; all so positive for KU.

Take it easy on Jaybate, he kept it short for once.
Let's hope Cole doesn't feel like he is a senior. I feel he is just beginning to enjoy college life and I'd hate to see him go. He needs to work on his outside game a little more. Short of that keep bringing the dunks hoss !
As for the Morris twins, well they aren't in the same conversation when talking about going pro. They need to learn to stay out of foul trouble so they can stay on the court for more minutes. They are the big tease this year. One game great and the next you can't stand them. As I've said before, they are twins, but they at times play like one person with 10 fouls to give. Come on boys you are rebounding, scoring beasts when you calm down and play KU basketball. We need you both to go any distance into the tourney !

I love any story that brings up last year's UNC game!

The Morris twins are one summer of eating Kansas beef and hitting the weight room away from stardom!
We've got two of them... let 'em foul. I like their aggressive play. Half of those fouls are bogus anyways. The Big 12 officials aren't used to seeing big power forwards with leg speed. Both twins are getting ripped on several of those calls where they set up to take the charge. Both of these guys are hitting the boards and starting to block shots... help for Cole... If they keep going in this direction then bring on the Pitts of the world!

drgnslayr,
Oh, yes! An when Mother Morris is challenged by KC bar-b-que, she is going to rise to the challenge and amp up the protein and calories for Kieff and Marcus on the home cooking days and these guys will come back looking like characters in "Street Fighter."
There is going to be a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge transformation next year. Imagine how much farther along Cole would have been this year had he had to undergo trial by fire all season long!!! Glad he didn't have to. Wish the Twins had not had to. But there is an enormous pay off afterwards for the bigs that can survive it...and they have survived it.

I'm with you, Jaybate... next year will be insane, both from the improvement of what we already have, plus the talent coming in. This team has mental toughness.... we just need to add the likes of one Lance Stephenson to the squad to complete the dream team. He not only brings NBA-style game as a freshman, but also plenty of street toughness to add to the swagger that will help us crucify teams next year!
It is rare, but you can be so good and so merciless that teams stop getting motivated to play you and just want to run and hide. We are one player away from achieving that possibility.

Not really a strong counterpoint, as I agree with all above. But say for the sake of conjecture, that Stephenson does not come to KU, or does but gets hurt in the summer and cannot play all year: This is already a 8,9,10 deep squad. Ive seen flashes of athletic smoothness out of 6'7" Quintrell. He would own Taylor Griffin in another year, and maybe hold his own vs. 6'7"DeJuan Blair, as perposterous as that may sound right now...He just hasnt got enough PT to see what he can do, even right now.
The Twins will be fine--they could be awesome in a Julian Wright kind of way...My point is if everyone comes back, with Little, Releford, Appleton healthy--we could be scary-good anyway...While we may be nervous about facing Pitt right now, I dont think so next year.

Your right on ralster. And add in Whithey, Johnson, and Robinson and we are stacked with or without Stephenson. I dont expect it, but even is Sherron and Cole were to leave for the league we would still be pretty damn good and still very young. The whole team has improved as the season has gone. I just hope the guys improving like Releford, and Thomas stay patient and understand their time will come. All they have to do is look at a guy like Brady, or Tyrell, or just look at DJack who didnt play much as a freshman. As I said before its great to be Jayhawk. Keep improving guys and lets bring home our 5th straight big 12 title.
