FINAL: KU gives away 10-point lead in 30-23 loss to Northern Illinois

Certainly we can Blame Gill for Weiss's inability to run the ball in the 4th Quarter with a lead..

Gill would have had to hire a credible D coordinator.... Which means we could be looking at this defense with a coach skilled in the Option... This is GILL'S NITCH....

We have great running backs. a Dual threat QB ( like Webb, when healthy ) with would be 3-1 right now.

We need to put the option in, in the worst way...

Crist should be done, unless coming off hte bench...

The answer appears to be running Option with Cummings... WE're almost in wishbone anyway...

We made a mistake Firing Gill too soon. This team is made for Opton offense... In two years once Charlie get's his guys out there, we'll be fine... but for now...

Use the Bye. Get an Option Offense... use our talent.

FINAL: Despite turnovers, TCU takes down KU, 20-6

Critic Turned Apologist.

1-2, Still winless against top 25 teams.

Defense played their asses off today. And, Still 1-2.

Get James Sims back, actually start targeting our taller receivers on the edges, move Patterson into the Slot receiver. Still 1-2.

Changes going forward, Less Beshears and More Parmelee. In My eyes, Dj Is done. Was holding out hope, because I dig smaller receivers, but Kid checked out. He should have left with Turner. and still 1-2.

Ponder this while you are eating your Cheerios... What happens if we go 1-11? Do we fire Charlie Weiss for doing less in less time than Turner did with Mangino's boys, Or do we admit we missed our shot at making this a legitimate football school and hope in 4 years Charlie can have us in Bowls again?

nor am I a fair weather fan, Ralster.

I just disagree. One thing we certainly can agree on, is Rice should not have beaten Kansas.

All that blaming Turner Gill sure looks idiotic now. Certainly it's his fault we lost today.

What, Charlie Weis worry? Coach sees good, bad, ‘crummy’

I can agree to disagree with you guys... But tell me what exactly is the average athletic ability of a player who attends Liberty University.. DO you think it's a division 1 athlete... Not likely...

So, We've got a bunch of Kids who don't have the Talent the kids at Wake have, nor do they have the big game experience, and it's not like Turner's been there for a while and has then believing in some mythical legacy....

What Do you put it too, pray tell...

What, Charlie Weis worry? Coach sees good, bad, ‘crummy’

only the fumble came with the Starter on the side lines, and I want to say that was a running play...

We can use excuses to justify whatever we want to, but the truth remains.

5 turnovers; probably more than we had all last year... and we still aren't 100% in players on that side. 4 interceptions, two by our best talent back there. Another one doinked off the face mask of a shocked Corner. And we did this with our defense getting beat consistently on run plays...

Are we still a lesser talented unit, probably yes, but I'm not willing to as far as to say togetherness won't make up a bit of that difference. This team played very much within themselves and aside from really one play, played as a unit. Result was a W.

This year, our conference is not as Quarterback heavy. We gave up Robert Griffin and gained the kid from West Virginia. Weeden's gone. Iowa State's got two young Qb's, who knows what nonsense Tech is going to pull. K-state wasn't impressive through three quarters of the game against Missouri Southern. We may be in better shape once conference time comes around, especially if our Offense can keep possession of the Football.. It's waaaaaaaay too early to make predictions, but if we can get Rice and Northern Illinois... Way might be able to make a push for a Bowl game.
