Tisdale on hand for net cutting

Woodling, you showed very poor taste in bringing up this issue the day after Wayman's death. I'm an extremely loyal Hawk but we both know that this kind of stuff happens with fans on both sides (I understand that you were focusing on the players).

From my perspective, you're the one "rubbing noses in it" given what transpired yesterday, especially now that it's been a full 25 years after the incident occurred. We all know Tubbs was a jerk, but show some respect for Wayman and his family. Obviously, he was a guy that transcended the sport by all accounts, mostly by the way he lived his life. Please consider your timing of an article like this more carefully next time.

Henry wants to go to KU, father says

and_one, again welcome. I don't post much but lurk often to get everyone's perspective. My only request would be to have you burn your Dean Smith pic ;) To my knowledge, he's never respected his roots and shown allegiance to KU (other than recommending Roy in '88 to come to KU). I believe he and Dick Baddour were a significant distraction in '03, which in turn, took our collective focus off of 'Cuse and partially kept us from our 5th national title at that time. For that, he will never be forgiven.

Am I missing something on the Xavier situation -- if he's so hell-bent on coming to KU, why doesn't he give that impression in the slightest bit? I've seen a couple of interviews with him now since the Cal exodus, and he seems the least positive on KU. CJ will either stay at Memphis if he loses the appeal or will transfer to KU (supposedly)..........why do either of these decisions affect what Xavier will do, IF he's so stoked on KU? Something doesn't quite add up. I do agree though with others that we need to cut all of these kids slack -- it's their lives going forward not ours.

Triple-double sweet!

I know this article is about Cole, but where are all the Sherron-haters today?! To be fair, they should come out and congratulate Sherron on his outstanding performance this weekend. Without him, there's no doubt we would have been bounced on day one. To retain any credibility and balance in your comments, these folks need to step up and deliver props to SC.

Reed has big game in front of hero

KU.........I don't know.......they list Reed as 6'3" and Hinrich is also listed as 6'3" on the Bulls website. I would say Reed has comparable lateral quickness (he's very quick side to side) and folks have said he's the fastest on the team right now in dead sprints. I think Kirk really developed his ability to drive the ball during his career at KU and I'm hoping Tyrel does the same.

Good article, Tom, on looking at the sum total productivity of the Morris twins. Part of the responsibility lies on their shoulders to distinguish themselves from one another. I hope they understand that point, and more than just applied to basketball.

Snaer chooses Florida State

Yes, we didn't get him but there are benefits to his decision -- now he won't end up possibly torching us at Misery but rather possibly torch UNC or Duke in the ACC on occasion! I'll be cheering for him. It's all good.

KU picked to finish second in Big 12 North

First time......., long time..........I've requested the removal of dkjc28's post above and hopefully others have as well. His/her tone and religious rhetoric are offensive and need to stop. I would hope that the LJW has enough backbone to enfore rules of decency on this board. I don't think they would want to get a reputation that they condone hate speech.As far as the article goes, I think us at #2 is absolutely fair. Even though I hate it, MU did beat us last year and had to play OU twice. I think MU has demonstrated they're for real, while basically returning the same team.
