Sherron Collins goes undrafted

Maybe its just time to admit that KU doesn't produce NBA talent. In the modern draft era, only PP has panned out (although I give Mario a decent shot to be a starter, but not all-star, and Kirk has been decent but hasn't exceeded expectations). Brandon, Julien, Darrell, Wayne, Collison, Gooden, etc. etc. Unfortunately I see Cole and X falling into this group as well. But, this is one of the reasons why I love KU and college basketball, its not all about one-on-one, the team is bigger than the sum of the parts.

Big 12 (10) lives on

I know, thats why I said "the NCAA allows the championship game to continue with 10 teams". The conference has a year to lobby the NCAA to change the rule before we drop to 10 teams.

No excuse for my typo though. Won.

There is a zero percent chance that the Big X(II) adds teams from a non-BCS conference, because it would actually cost each remaining school money. Equally unlikely is a situation where schools from a BCS leaves for the Big X(II), unless its perhaps the SEC, but I haven't heard the dollar figures there that would convince me that Ark or whoever would benefit. It certainly won't be the Pac-10 or the Big-10 schools.

My guess is the NCAA allows the championship game to continue with 10 teams. But would anyone miss the championship game? Last year was a little closer (but not really exciting), but outside of the first few years of the conference, the North has been a complete joke in the game (North has one 4 out of 14 overall).

I think Texas is out (Austin is the Berkeley of the South afterall). If Tech can piggyback into the Pac-10, I'm sure it will. But, why would we believe that the Pac-10 would want Tech - I haven't seen a single named source state this to be fact. I know there is already a JuCo in the Pac, but why would the rest of the California schools want a technical college in the mix? If I were the Pac commish, I'd be quick to snatch up Tex, Ok, Ok. St, KU and Utah, and leave Tech to form its own subdivision with its rivals ITT Tech, Devry and the University of Phoenix.

Big 12 not dead yet

I suppose so, but the Pac already has an OSU that wears orange and black and sucks at everything.

Big 12 not dead yet

Can anyone explain why the Pac-10 would want TT or Ok St. other than perhaps Texas and OK demanding it as part of their willingness to join up?

Pac-10 games highlight KU's non-conference men's basketball schedule

Do we really play Ohio twice? Or is the LJW just incompetent?

Meet at the Bear's Lair on Dec. 22.

An emotional exit: Teary-eyed Xavier Henry declares for 2010 NBA Draft

An emotional exit: Teary-eyed Xavier Henry declares for 2010 NBA Draft

kik1958...well yes, in the way that the season would've ended in a loss. but there probably would've been a few more losses along the way. i think xavier brought a few necessary things to the table as the SF (although we will never know if we could've gotten similar productivity out of little/releford, i suspect somewhere close).

agreed with soobawls. although i don't know him, i suspect that he can dribble with his right about as well as xavier, and its only a matter of time before the nba figures that out.
