Five-star guard Quentin Grimes calls feeling of signing with KU indescribable

I think everyone from this year would have to leave in order to have a chance at Langford or Williamson. Assuming Vick, Newman, Azibuike, Preston all leave early, KU will have nine players looking at playing time for next year (D. Lawson, KJ Lawson, Moore, Cunliffe, Garrett, Grimes, Dotson, De Sousa, McCormack).

KU coaching staff to check in on Williamson, Langford

After a couple of years of going all-in on one guy (Tarczewski - who went to Arizona -- comes to mind), Self decided to not do that. They will recruit all of them hard. Grimes is the most likely, but you never know what these guys will decide.

Tom Keegan: Taming Baylor Bears tougher task than ever

This is the best defensive team under Scott Drew. The key for Baylor will be guarding KU's three point shooters. Louisville also beat Kentucky, so I think that is Baylor's most impressive win. I don't think it will be a blowout -- but I think KU will prevail.

KU basketball player Bragg charged in drug paraphernalia case; Self comments on charge

His court date is Feb. 14. My guess is he will not play at least until then. Even if he is reinstated, I doubt he plays much the rest of this year.

Tom Keegan: Schedule takes Kansas behind the eight ball

I'm the opposite - I always think they are going to win - and get frustrated when they play bad and lose. It's hard for me to even say they are going to lose because I always think they are going to win. The toughest games are the road games. Regardless of what happens, I think this tough stretch of games will prepare them for tough games later in the season.

2016-17 Jayhawks enjoying process of developing identity

I like the depth of this years team to 2012, and this years team is a better offensive (shooting) team. But that 2012 title game team, specifically starting five, was probably one of the best defensive teams Bill Self has had.

Self offers Miege duo

Allen is more skilled than Azibuke and Coleby, and my feeling is he would challenge Bragg and Lucas for a starting position or be the first big off the bench. That being the case, he would still play 20-25 minutes a game, which is what he would play at UT or Houston.

Top-ranked senior Josh Jackson picks Kansas

We can make you eat your words right now. KU might have won the national title in 2012 if McLemore was eligible, In no way do I think that he, Wiggins, Henry, and Embiid, as OAD's, let KU down. I know all KU fans want to go to the Final Four, but if you judge a season by 1 game... you will be disappointed more than satisfied.

Top-ranked senior Josh Jackson picks Kansas

Bragg is the definition of a stretch 4. If anything he needs to get stronger and develop more in the low post to be a 4. His jump shot is already very good. I think he compares to Marcus Morris and will have a great sophomore year. I would say averaging 12 and 7 would be reasonable.

KU Hoops Notebook: Mason survives another hard fall

In 2012 - Robinson, Taylor, Johnson, and Releford all averaged over 30 minutes a game -- mainly because of a lack of depth. They made it to the title game that year. So it depends on the resolve of the players playing those minutes.
