Students camp out to get best seats for KU-MU game

Since I'm allowed to look past Iowa State (the players are not!), can anyone explain to me the way the ticket allotment was broken down for the KU/Misery game? I know that Chiefs season ticket holders were given the opportunity to purchase tickets. Why, I don't know. But after that, what is the breakdown in terms of how many tickets KU was allotted and how many Misery was allotted? What is the educated guess as to the split amongst the fans on gameday? 50/50? I was curious. Living in CO, I wasn't able to follow the story of the Arrowhead announcement as much as I would have liked when it broke.

Nah, the thing said "We're in for one wild night."

The Law wins late as A&M leaves Allen as a 69-66 winner

Kaun in at the end of the game and Robinson out is absolutely moronic. Gillispie is a genius for fouling Kaun, the hack-a-Shaq strategy. And Self is a numbskull for having Kaun in the game. And our floor leader, Robinson, has to be in the game at the end.

I'm not a Self hater but in this game he was so clearly outcoached, it's incredible. The guy can recruit all the talent in the world but if he can't teach them to put their throat on someone when they're down, if he can't have the right players in the game at crunch time, then we will continue to get beat and we will continue to have very early exits in March.

Also, if we had one player with the killer instinct of Acie Law, that would make up for many of the deficiencies our team has.

Freshmen emerging in early conference play

I'm fed up with Julian Wright too. He has the potential to be one of the 5-10 best players in the country. When he's good, he's scary good. Some one needs to light a fire under his butt and get him to play well. I wouldn't mind seeing Stewart get some more time. Maybe he's that glue guy we need...maybe he'll bring some scrappiness and intensity that about 8 out of 10 games we are sorely missing.

Woodling: TV drops ball; KU doesn't

Living in Colorado, I get so angry at (C)BS during tournament time. KU is generally the primary game but I only get to see 3/4 of it if I'm lucky, 1/2 of it if I'm unlucky, due to live look-ins and game overlaps. Who would want to see 1/2 of any game? Who would want to see bits and pieces of 5 games and not see one in its entirety? The knuckleheads who make the decisions at (C)BS try to appeal to everyone when in fact they end up alienating most. Raftery is terrible by the way, but better than Packer. Remember how irate Packer was last year at the selection show when all the Valley teams and all the other mid-majors were getting in to the dance? Look how they fared. Idiot.

ESPN schedules tip-offs 2 hours apart. Unless KU is the first game of that schedule, of which they rarely are, I'm royally screwed. Why not start the east coast game at 530 central and the Big 12 game at 8? So what if they have to cut a 1/2 hour of Sportscenter. It's on a again after the west coast game and ESPNNews is on all day.

Spot-on for over 5 decades

Ryan Robertson hit 3 free throws in 1999, not a 3-pointer. He was fouled on an attempt with no time left on the clock.
