Box score breakdown: Should we still consider KU a run-first team?

I definately hear ya but I do think those La Tech D Lineman were huge and athletic. . . just saying not a huge drop off in athletic ability. #41 was a freak and some other guy was at T Tech transfer. But year our O Line has looked weak.

Turning a corner? KU finally wins close one in improbable 13-10 victory over LA Tech

Just saying I was curious to see what he would have done in this particular game. I think Heaps has a big upside but I was dissapointed with a few reads and pocket feel. I would not make the change, just several times during that particular game I thought we could have marched the ball with Cummings play from last year.

Have to admit that after that win I am curious to see what Michael Cummings could have done. Heaps may throw a more pretty ball but Michael seems to have better pocket awareness and finds the open man. Heaps rushed a few of those out routes that were clearly short of the first down and on two of them he had a crossing route open for the easy first down and more, he seemed to be set on one receiver.

Box score breakdown: 3 positives and negatives following KU's win over South Dakota

Great analysis. Good win with fixable mistakes. South Dakota played very hard and that quarterback was a hell of a runner which is always tricky to stop. I am betting on a lot of progress this week and we will look sharp against Rice.

Sharing the load: Jayhawks' stable of backs successful in 31-14 win over South Dakota

Also, dropped passes were scary early but were not an issue the rest of the game.

I think we looked good, all the mistakes were first game stuff and seem fixable such as penalties or confusion. The O-line pass protection will get better this week with Grundhardt and Weis watching film with the hogs. Also, very hard to judge the quality of these FCS schools in these games, sure they were horrible last year but if they play as hard every game as they did yesterday they will win a lot of games. . . . kind of like judging that early march madness 15 seed and that quarterback was pretty tough. Eithe way I see us going in the right direction and next week's game is huge. Can't wait

UCLA 'not the place' for Kansas-bound QB Millweard

Very interesting read about Weis Jr. and Mitchell; I also like stories of professional athletes being good dudes, I like Kevin Faulk now and will always remember.

Very well said and I agree with much of what you say, and yes we are light years away from a constitutional republic because that depends on knowledge and trust. I actually just read both 1984 and Animal Farm again and Orwell could see the dark light that was coming. Trust me I know that we are in dire straights because of the oligarchs who control everything but I still believe ulitmate control lies in ones self and that includes quest for truth. WE are in trouble because of a small misinformed population who relies on cable news for what is really going on in the world, but in reality most don't even care and just want to be on their phone all day long. Nobody cares about anything except entertainment and fun. Scary, but at least we have KU Sports to get away from it all. . . . 13th Floor Growing Old.

You are correct in facts and very well said, but who is ultimately to blame for personal responsibility for choices and actions. I desire fast food for lunch all the time and sometimes wish organic food was cheaper but I conserve money elsewhere to buy them, and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all the time for lunch. I hear people (my friends) talk all the time about prices of eating healthy and fresh and it is impossible but they have the freshest phones, clothes and go out every Friday and Saturday night to get wasted and try to hook up. . . . it aint cheap. It is true we are in a scary time with big business and food but people need to wake up and evaluate themselves.
