KU-Oklahoma start time announced

KU's rank had nothing to do with this decision. It was directly related to OU losing to Texas, falling to 3-3, and falling out of the Top 25 when the polls come out on Monday. Had OU won today, the KU-OU game would have been a matchup of Top 15 teams and destined for prime time.

While the offense is fun to watch, it is defense that wins championships. My high school D-line coach had a mantra that we all used as our battle cry (and I wish a certain local college team would start paying heed to it): THEY DON'T SCORE... THEY DON'T WIN! Reesing and Co. could put up 50 points, but it won't matter if the D gives up 51. C'mon HCMM, get those D-men in line!

Fourth-down myths and trying to bust them

You should read Tuesday Morning Quarterback (TMQ) on ESPN.com. He talked about this very thing a few years back! He's all about figuring out the smart thing to do in a certain football situation, and then making fun of all the NFL coaches/teams who do the opposite (for example, punting from your opponent's side of the field is something most teams do, but statistically it's beneficial to just go for it!).
