Finally his time

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what was asked by the football staff member (if it was true, and it very easily could of been). Rules are rules, and as a student I was asked to leave a mens basketball practice while observing during one afternoon by one of Coach Williams managers. If a coach doesn't want someone to watch, then they should be asked to leave, whether it is me, Scott Russell, or some other interested party.

The Sideline Report with Jake Sharp

Just your typical Salina guy, I guess. Great interview, it is fun to read player bio stuff like that in the media guides so I like reading interviews like this that do not have much to do with football.

Keep up the great work and best of luck to Jake Sharp and the rest of the Jayhawks!

Jayhawks counting on Steward at tight end

I will take any KU Football information over none at all. I am enjoying the breakdown of the different schools in the Big 12. Great job new guy, keep bringing us information, because Stewards move was all just speculative talk until this article was written.

KU in the spotlight at day two of Big 12 Media Days

Why is the Big 12 using our old helmet (by 2 years I believe)? Can we not get an updated helmet for the table? Great shot of Coach Mangino. He always has the look on his face of "I can't wait to get the hell out of here" whenever he is doing these events.

KU in the spotlight at day two of Big 12 Media Days

I am now quite ready for football season. The season officially begins for me at the Big 12 media days. I am so excited about the possibility of playing two straight games in Arrowhead (Mizzou game and Big 12 Championship game). Here's hoping for a Cotton Bowl or higher and lets go get'em boys!

10 questions for KU's follow-up to magical season

First of all, thank you very much for a football article. Being that we are only 2 weeks out of reporting for the season it is nice that we finally don't have to read about a D. Jackson and R. Robinson love fest, or how many points incoming frosh Relaford scores in an exibition game overseas.

Gotta love the loser football mentality of our writers (we sucked for so long that we will just revert to sucking forever). Why do you just assume that because we play OU (lost a BCS game last year to team with a brand new coach), Texas (lost at home to KSU last year and on the road to A&M as well), and Texas Tech (can not play defense), and USF (play in a lesser BCS conference and did not fare well late in the season against quality competition) that we will automatically lose 3 or 4 more games. Thank God Coach Mangino and the players don't have the same mindset as the newbie football beat writer and the opinion column guy have.

Also, why must you make stupid basketball to football comparisons? Most of us understand and have football knowledge and don't need unneccesary oranges to apples matchup examples.

I live in Fayetteville, AR and almost every day there are 2 or more articles in the paper here regarding the upcoming U of A season, or the SEC teams, or incoming players, or future recruits, and their new football coach is just as restricted with the media as Coach Mangino is. They also are coming off a very disappointing season that saw them lose 2 first round draft pick RB's and you never sence a hint of "we will suck this year" by the way their writers put together stories.

Anyway, I know I shouldn't complain because I don't pay for this service (I do the AR Dem-Gazzette), but I do come on here everyday and have actually purchased merchandise from advertisements on here. I would just love to get alot more free information on my Jayhawk football team.

Mortensen, Herford named preseason all-Big 12

Thanks for representing with Reesing, Keegan. I think that the surprise of the year may be Crawford, so here is to wishful thinking that he becomes the newcomer of the year!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk, lets get it started NOW

ps. G Brown played from 93-99, not 83-99 for the Pack.

Keegan: Get the deal done already

Ok, I did not understand the direction of that column at all. Weather, radar gun, Royals draft pick, convertibles, assistant basketball coaches pay versus head football coaches pay, or golf tournament? Could you have seperated all your thought with one of those * signs, and use seperate paragraphs like many other coulmnist seem to use in articles that are just kind of thrown together? This article has me questioning why I did not go to journalism school.

Woodling: Son of voice of Jayhawks paying dues in Arkansas

Living in NWA, I have had the opportunity to listen to Steven Davis now for about a month and he is really good. He does not sound anything like his old man, more like a Ryan Lefevre from the Royals. It is great to have another KU guy down here in NWA (there are quite a few of us)!
