Keegan: Lopsided loss came as a surprise to many

I'm old enough to remember what KU powerhouse football looked like (Hadl, McClinton, Coan et al.) Throughout the 50's KU was a dominant football power. One season does not dominance make. Just another lawyer chiming in and waiting for Nov. 4.

Recruit Henry in no hurry to select school

I agree with DSommersby. I, too, was at those games with my kids and both players, Kelly Knight, an undersized center with sore knees but always the biggest heart on the floor, and the talented Carl Henry. If nothing else, my heart hopes that Xavier is part of the continuing tradition. I hope he comes.

Keegan: The race to say yes to Kansas

Is this the "I don't have a life" thread? I didn't notice any category. I just clicked on the article, which I enjoyed.

Men 2 Boyz

Save the "Dear Diary" stuff for your private journal. This was (unfortunately almost) the nadir of articles seen on kusports.com

KU records 70-percent athlete grad rate

It pleases an old grad to see that pride in our academics, which is not reflected in the stats produced, is still extant. We are not just a place for sports and I don't want to see KU look like "them." I congratulate the writers on a sports comment board express outrage.

Keegan: KU's 20 minutes of doom

That cupcake baked a little too long in the oven. Oklahoma & Texas on the road? Get your oranges at the grocery store this year.

Kansas Relays ending run at Memorial Stadium ... or is it?

As a track team member (for a very short time) I remember the meets of the late 50's and 60's. Why can't we return to those days? I'm saddened by the decline and can't understand why we dismiss track so easily from a school with such tradition in the sport. To move it from the stadium is the final dagger in the heart.

Darnell 'excited' by pre-draft travels

I echo the other comments. He was and is my "favorite" and wish him great success in life. Not since Kelly Knight have I seen a player play with such heart. It makes you proud to be a Jayhawk when there are such representatives of the school.

Gary Bedore's KU Basketball Notebook

For me, it is players like Darnell Jackson who feed my devotion to college basketball. I wish him great success in life. I can think of several examples of players like him who did not get to the next level (Kelly Knight comes immediately to mind) but they cemented a place in our hearts as Jayhawks.
