Stars in stripes: KU's new duds bring shooting luck in blowout over Texas Tech

Ugliest unis I've seen on a Jayhawk. I was totally repulsed until I saw Baylors' clown suits.

A kick in the teeth: Late FG lifts Owls past KU

It's the same old song, almost year after year. Oh well, only 51 days until basketball season. Is this new, expensive coach paid for wins or does he get paid for this type of football. The 53 yard field goal attempt in the third quarter made me turn off the tv and find something worthwhile to do.

Humble coach, mentor deserves spotlight

We have a great basketball program because of great people. Fine article.

KU’s Elijah Johnson cautious at camp

I think the Bobcats are looking a little down the line to when Larry Brown wants to coach in the pros again :-)

LMU transfer Kevin Young eyes KU basketball

No--Ted Owens got us to the Final Four with Roger Morningstar et al. A guy named Larry Brown with a player named Danny Manning got us the Nat'l crown in 1988.

KU basketball's Thomas Robinson wears frustration on his sleeve

Thomas Robinson reminds me of Darnell Jackson and I am a great fan of both. What hearts.

Guard Elijah Johnson changes mind-set in starting role

As a high school player, we showed up at Fort Scott to play and I had forgotten my shoes. The coach said (expletives deleted), "You're the smartest player on the team and you can't remember your shoes!" Don't forget they're kids, no matter how physically gifted they are.

Did Tyshawn Taylor just get Pipped?

That lead sentence wasn't even worthy of a junior high newspaper. Count me in as a Keegan basher.

Huskers awed by KU’s offensive show

In a way, it's too bad to lose NU to the Big 10. I am a fan of Doc Sadler and he deserves a lot of credit for what's he done with the basketball program in Lincoln.

However, I think NU made a big mistake when they abandoned the "Bugeaters" nom de plume. Calling themselves "Cornhuskers" always reminded me of privies. Shortening it to "Huskers" made it a non sequitur.
