Busted: Crunch-time 'D' costs Kansas again

Replying to my own post... Sorry, it's a blog article. Still, an interesting read...

Just curious if anyone has read the article on William Wesley and Callipari (Pasadena Post, March 5)? Wondering what your takes are on it?

Opinion: At this point, change is due

Sybesma, you are so right! As an elementary teacher in a title one building, I have learned the hard way that what we are getting on the surface may have so, so many hidden layers from home, family, etc.

Charlie Weis focused on improving grades

My copy and paste from above... My understanding is that the headlines are written by a copy editor or other editors, but after looking it up, the writer sometimes may write the headline. Thus, maybe Keegan did write this headline? If so, poor taste on his part!

FINAL: KU overcomes 10-point, second-half deficit, defeats Purdue, 63-60

Hey, I'm with you, Nuleafjahawk,

I wore my domin8 shirt for the first time today, and when it looked totally out of hand, I changed to a non-KU shirt. Won't wear that one until the season is over. RCJH!

Awfully close: Kansas barely holds on

I haven't read all the posts, so forgive me if this duplicates another. I kind of had a different take on last night's game than what I've read so far. I think this was absolutely perfect timing to blow a lead the way the Hawks did, and yet still win the game on the road.

We couldn't afford a loss and still have a shot at a one seed. And yes, even with our past history, I would rather we get a one seed and be pretty much guaranteed a trip to the sweet 16. At that point, it pretty much becomes a matter of match-ups anyway, as well as which teams get hot and get the good breaks.

This was the perfect time for the Hawks to come away feeling disappointed with their play and learn yet again that they can't just show up or put it on cruise control. Hopefully that will serve as a reminder for the rest of the season, and at this point, they know they can play anywhere from 5 to 12 games. I also love that Coach Self was so upset with the team for this type of play. He definitely will know which buttons to push after last night!

Finally, I think it was great that T-Rob got the technical foul and that he vowed it would not happen again this year. If my memory serves me right, he had made that same promise earlier in the season. With so few games left to play, it again was perfect timing for him to see what such a stupid mistake could have done to his team. Better now than in a tourney game.

Anyway, I thought last night's game could not have played out any better for setting us up for these next few weeks. The Hawks should be even hungrier and angrier for Saturday's must win, and there is no excuse now for the OSU game to be a "trap" game.

Hey, and most importantly, we won! I don't know about you, but if you had told me at the beginning of the season we would be 23-5 and leading the Big 12 at this time of year, I would have taken it in a heartbeat! RCJH!!!
