Mangino's contract outlines probe

2007 season was supposed to happen. The football team beat everyone they were supposed to beat. They were better than everyone they beat. If they would have won less games, it would have been just like every other season that Mangino has coached. I have watched this team go out every year and lose to teams they better than. 2008 they were definitely better than SF and NU. This year they have lost to several teams they were better than. I do not need to go on and list ALL the other exasperating losses from previous years! Come one people, you're acting as if this guy is Steve Spurrier or something!!!

Not-so-gentle reign

soobawls, Cimhawk and kiki1958 have obviously never played football. Mangino has crossed the line, many times it seems. The only former players who have not downplayed Mangino's actions are Anderson and McAnderson, who are still in or around the program.
Calling some of these players soft or candy asses is just plain stupid!

Drama takes away from game

If incidents that former players talked about in the espn article that cap10d included in the first post really happened, Mangino and any other coach needs to find another line of work. When I played high school football we had a "hard-nosed, demanding disciplinarian" as Brorsen called Mangino, but he never got personal, never demeaned us as players or people. We respected him in every way. He motivated us in the right ways. Some parents were upset because he yelled at us and grabbed our facemasks, but it was to move us to where we were supposed to be because we were out of position.
Again, getting personal and insulting players is disrespectful. These players are men, not prison convicts.
I agree with Marcus Herford, these things have been covered up by winning. Now that they're not winning, the floodgates have been opened.

Meier could be answer

When I read the headline, I immediately thought, Why the h*ll not play Pick? Then I read the article and was taken in by the suggestion to bring Meier back as QB......ALMOST. After re-reading it and some of the comments above, I still think if they are not going with TR then they NEED to start Kale Pick. Think about it! You'll have Meier in the huddle calming him down, telling him just go through your reads, throw the ball to me or Dez and you'll be fine. He'll also have Sharp or Opurum to dump the ball off if he gets in trouble. And we all know that Sharp is best going around the end. I mean, SERIOUSLY, this team has some of the most powerful offensive weapons in the Big VII.
So, in conclusion, if you're not going to start TR, START PICK!!!
