Brandon Ingram chooses Duke over KU, others

You can't see Svi, Selden, Mickelson, Bragg, Graham, Lucas, or Geene making "that jump"? Any of those guys possibly even more could make a huge jump for next year.

KU's Perry Ellis receives report from NBA committee, continues to consider pro options

Ellis values he education, remember. He was the valedictorian of his high school class. Which I say is a big reason he stays, he is a smart dude and I assume smart enough to realize there is a chance he does not make it and notes to himself that he should get a degree so he can fall back on that.

Kansas hoops recruiting targets stellar at Nike Summit

The reason Duke won this year was because they had very good complimentary players that knew how to run the offense and let Okafor and Jones and Winslow do a lot of the "heavy lifting" if you would. We were still a young team last year, which I think is frequently overlooked. With next year us having a solid group of Sophs and upperclassmen, I think that brings an attractive situation for the big talents that are going to be one-and-dones. These McD All-Americans know the pieces are there and that KU needs a "killer" to take us to the next level and will be excited if they could become that.

Thon has expressed more interest in playing more at the 3. Plus I think a year under Hudy would do him good.

I honestly think that we will land Thon Maker. He says he wants to play the 3 spot and with Oubre gone that opens up a golden opportunity. Plus Kansas is Adidas which from what I have heard may play a factor in his decision. And with Kentucky, I'm sure they will load up on the wing spots like they always do. I agree with Newman to UK. I say we have a better shot to get Newman if Self says he would play him over Selden which I kind of doubt he would at this point. Too much of a log jam at the 2 spot with Svi, Greene, Graham, and Selden.

I think you can credit that to kids knowing early that they want to stay close to home. If you look at the guys that commit to those schools early there is usually a pattern. While on the contrary which I seemingly why Kansas does not lock guys up early, because its pretty rare to get a McDonald's All-American in the state of Kansas, with Perry Ellis obviously being the exception.
