Cheick Diallo's legal guardian hires attorney as Diallo continues battle to become eligible

The NCAA has become the judge, jury, and executioner for incoming freshmen and the Colleges that they are enrolled in. They claim to have the best interest of the student athlete at heart, but we all know that to be a lie. The real interest that drives the NCAA is the almighty dollar. They are making millions of dollars off the same student athletes that they can make or break. They are playing God with young men's lives with no governing body to oversee their actions. There are no repercussions on the NCAA for any wrong doings that may occur. The NCAA can pretty much do what they want, including personal vendettas against universities and coaches, which seems to be the case here at KU. Unfortunately in most cases its the student athletes that seem to be caught in the middle and get hurt the most. Throughout history any governing body that has had complete control over the institutions below them have NEVER been able to keep control because eventually the controlled institutions will rise up and take the tyrant down. I.E. (American Revolution) It is my belief that the members of the 5 major conferences will rise up against the NCAA and create there very own Collegiate Association. It sure can't come quick enough! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!!!!

A sour ending: KU collapses late in 87-85 overtime loss to Michigan

Yes Elijah was horribe tonight, but seriously what is new? Besides a 3 game stretch he has been pretty bad all year. Even Self has admitted that EJ is not a point guard but he continued to play him at point all year and especially in cruntchtime down the stretch of some important games. I know that EJ was bad but it can't be all on him. I put this one of SELF. There is no way in hell he should of put the ball in his hands at the end of regulation. Anytime there is intense defensive pressure he folds like a tent. Also Self should have fouled at the end of regulation instead of letting Michigan have a chance to shoot the 3 and tie it. Hasn't he seen this scenerio backfire on other teams this maybe the Iowa St. game when all they had to do is foul us and we lose the game. Bill Self choked tonight pure and simple. I know he is a good coach but he got out coached tonight big time. The problem with being a good coach and having great success is that you start believing the everything you do will turn to gold, and this sometimes leads to "tunnel vision"! This one really stings as a Jayhawk fan even more so than other tournament collapses because unlike the Bucknell, Bradley, VCU, and Northern Iowa games, we actually played good tonight, We were the better team. We didn't get out played and Michigan didn't win the game, we simply lost the game. All we had to do was hold on to the ball and play smart and we win the game. It was a good season but we really let a golden oppurtunity slip away and I will remember this one for years.

Bear-ly worth celebrating: KU blown out by Baylor but ties for Big 12 crown

Can someone tell me why KU didn't go zone when it was obvious to a blind man that they couldn't stop Baylor playing man to man!! Nobody could stay in front of Jackson and noone could stop Corey Jefferson on the blocks. Seemed like our team was perfectly content with sharing a title. Me on the other hand feels like sharing a title is like kissing your sister, well maybe even worse cuz it is K-State we have to share it with! Hell it even seemed like our coach didn't care all that much, He never seemed to get very upset and like I mentioned earlier wouldn't switch up our defense. Oh well atleast we still have tourney play!! Come on boys lets refocus and make a run in the tourney.

Perfect storm: Elijah Johnson buries ISU with 39 points

Last night was one of the most exciting games I have watched in quite some time. It had everything you could ask for in a game! It had highs and lows, it had twists and turns, it had adversity and triumph, but it most importantly had REDEMPTION for one much criticized KU player!! Last night's game showed that this group of players are not ready to give up the conference championship streak. I think besides the snow howling you could hear from the north 12 players yelling, "NOT ON OUR WATCH"!! Rock Chalk!!!!!!!

Mario Chalmers reflects as KU jersey retirement nears

I remember Jim Bain! I been trying to forget him for years. Every KU game that no good son of a bleep would officiate, you knew we were going to get the shaft. It was like playin 5 against 6!

Three and OUch: Jayhawks' skid continues with road loss to Sooners

Kansas will regroup and win the conference. They have hit rock bottom and as we all know you can't experience success without experiencing failure first. This team hasn't face much adversity or failure. They are use to pulling it out at the end because they are Kansas and they are suppose to win. NOW they realize that they are not invicible and they must play hard every possession. They now know there is less margin for error and they won't take anything for granted. Call me crazy but starting Monday we are going on an unbelievable streak because I believe we have the high character guys to do it, who understand the responsiblity ot being a Kansas basketball player. Rock Chalk Baby our new season starts Monday against the pussy cats and we will win out!! Remember where you heard it Wildjayhawk!!
