4 Big 12 teams in the top 10! Strong conference, strong teams....maybe next year we'll get more respect!

Question... if someone knows the answer tell me.
If B. Rush goes...can we shave his scholarship and start our penalty next year? If so, wouldn't that make sense instead of locking up a four year scholarship on a so so recruit. In my mind...we are still pretty loaded. So we don't make a preseason top 5. Who cares, we have a great bunch of players and some haven't peaked yet. Just a thought.

Lebowski-
I have never said did not like Brandon. In fact I agree with much of your last paragraph. I think that he is a great KU player.
But I do think that the staff has really helped him develop.

Honk4tad:
so the quote when recruited to KU of what he will bring to the team..."Espn Highlights" was a team player statement? Come on. He has had a good reputation of a team player since he started with KU....not before.

Self and the program show that they can help mold these kids into team players. Look at when we brought in Rush. He was a "me first" prospect and look at the student athlete he has turned into. I agree...sometimes you can't always change kids, but this program and staff has shown that they can make Mickey D all americans and other top recruits into a bunch of well rounded team players...

my above comment was all in a VERY sarcastic tone. I am 28. I sit in chairbacks and enjoy all the games. The alumni around me are VERY into the game. The students need to realize that.

keep hating on the cash cows...thats the ticket. Just don't enjoy the renovations, the great court, the new museum, the video boards, he grea new lighting, oh yeah, and the rich endowment program. I am sure all of those things could have been done completely relying on the amount of STUDENT TICKET packages bought.

Now there was some crossing the line. KSU is the ONLY school to disrespect the Rock ChalK Chant. I was at the game with a group of people, one of which a MU fan, and he said that he couldn't believe that ANY school would disrecpect the Chant.
DJKC-
Give me a break. Lew Perkins is an outstanding AD who not only keeps his coaches happy, but keeps the players happy to play at this type of school. Would you rather have Bob back in that position. I am so sick of hearing all of these "KU" fans calling for Self's job if he doesn't win, or when he does win it wasn't by enough. Or if Perkins tries to keep our school at the pinnacle of class people think thats terrible. What happened to supporting KU? That is what this is about.

Mark Turgeon is right...if his team didn't beat both of those teams his tema wouldn't be in the top 50. But you have to play and beat teams like FL to offset those types of losses. I am getting sick of these mid-major teams complaining all the time about the respect they don't receive. GET OVER IT.

it is easy for Lew to receive that money Tax Free. His bonus is most likely growing in a Life Insurance contract that will then give a tax free lump sum distribution at the time stated, Great concept, easy to do.
