5 Reasons Why Kansas Could Defeat Oklahoma This Season
Memorial Stadium won't be a factor. Texas and Texas Tech came in and proved that, granted KU wasn't very good when they played Texas, but the Tech game was the game that we NEEDED to win, and our crowd was not very good after being down 14 early. But OU will not be even close to as good as they were last year, they return only 1 starter on the O-Line. Bradford won't have the time to pass as he did last year. But KU's crowd needs to be huge and CRAZY for the Nebraska and OU games. I have seen KU's crowd at their best and it's not even close to some of the top crowds in the country. When the student section is all their, they are amazing, only if the rest of the crowd gets as loud as them, we are set.

Something to prove
hailtoku-
You are a complete idiot. He played great against K-State, outstanding against MU with some jacked up ribs. And being a running back is not about running over people. It is about getting tough yards and out-running defenders. He jump-started our team against Iowa State. He caught that 67 yard pass then on the next offensive posession took a shovel pitch for about 50 yards. You can take Quigley and his fumbling, stone hands all you want, and we will take Jake.
I am tired of people doubting the abilitly of our starters. They start at a Division 1 program for a reason. They might have some lapses, or just run into some great players, but our starters can play, as they start on a team that is in the top 25 for most of the year.

Do you like the Trajan font on KU's uniforms?
We could be Georgia and pretty much steal the logo from the Green Bay Packers. I have always liked it, and in case that some of you guys didn't notice, we were up for the best uniforms in college football about a year ago on espn or fox, not quite sure. We don't need a bunch of crap on our jerseys or helmets, a jayhawk would be a little bit too crowded and the numbers look pretty cool. Oh and we have lost a total of games, football and basketball, 16 I believe. I would say it has been the new 'beginning' of KU athletics.

Extreme makeover: Stadium edition
But do you get my point? We are the only stadium really in the country, football wise, that allows people to watch the game for free. The chain link fence tried to phase that out, and has for the most part, but since our stadium isn't full on a consistent basis, the department is trying to block the view from the hill and make people come inside to watch the games. And anyways all the 'hill sighting' from inside the stadium is blocked out with all the tents that are up there.
On the flip side though, the hill is good for young families with little children because everyone has to have a ticket, so a 2 year old would have to have a $40 ticket to get in. That is just a bit ridiculous.

How are they going to charge for people on the hill? It seems like there are so many ways someone could see the game still without playing

Extreme makeover: Stadium edition
Great point jim. I can't think of any other stadiums that let people watch their games from outside the stadium, actually Iowa State might have that. But anyways, they need to pay and not let Nebraska fill the stadium, again. I have always said we need a scoreboard on the north end, not really a big one though. And we need to make the one on the south end bigger, it is tough to see at times for people sitting on the north end.
I agree about adding a tunnel for the players, only thing about that is how are people going to enter the west side of the stadium from the hill? But I am tired of them walking a long ways, and through a chain link fence. And my high school field had a bigger logo than what KU's is now. Make it from 45 to 45 and hash mark to hash mark or something of that nature.

Briscoe reinstated to KU football team
tx73... Really. Glad to know you can spell our best receivers name. And he won't come close to a Heisman. I believe Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy are all back. And last I checked they finished 1,2,3 in the voting last year. Briscoe will hopefully win he Biletnikoff Award, that goes to the top receiver in the country.
And I'm a big KU fan, but also a realistic one. We will not be in the national championship game. Not with the schedule, and not with the defense we have right now. Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships.

Briscoe reinstated to KU football team
Yes he missed all of spring practices, but that also helps to prevent injuries. And honestly, spring ball is for the young guys to get used to the system and for coaches to get going the juices going again. I'm not condoning what he did, but he could be just like Crawford and completely blow your chance.
Rivet, do you have proof that Briscoe was in Stillwater?
And if you honestly think that he won't become the #1 receiver, you are dumb. Kerry is an inside slot receiver, he creates matchup problems the most. That is why he plays inside mostly if not all the time. Wilson is a nice player, a very nice player, but he isn't #1 receiver reliable yet. He needs to gain some weight and get a little bit faster. And you also act like if he isn't the #1 guy, he won't get on the field. We aren't an Alabama, for example, in which some formations we line up with 1 WR. The last time I checked, we run the spread, and we line up with 3-4 WR's on every formation. A freshman will not be able to come in right away and play. Patterson did against inferior competition, that is why he went to the defensive side of the ball.
I get your point. To make him earn everything back, but you have to look at personnel and formations before you go and do something like that.

FINAL: Johnathan Wilson posts 133 receiving yards; Blue team takes 20-7 victory in KU Spring Game
I have a feeling Kale Pick is going to be a great QB here. He will be good enough to take over full back-up duty this year, and then take the reins of the offense for the next 3 years after this year.
I also had a good feeling that with our D switching to a 4-2 defense, that Angus would be at LB. We can't keep his athleticism and instincts off the field. Arist is a good LB in pass coverage, and with the Big XII offenses, that is what we need. I also hope Davis plays better at corner than he did last year, he got burned a couple times, but a year of experience should help tremendously
