Kansas carrying on
We have covered the spread every week, just like the Orange Bowl team did. No, we have no Talib's, but we have more quality players at every position. I agree that the execution has not been there so far, but it is still early.
O-line has a ways to go, but the D-line may be the best we have ever had, certainly the deepest.
Our weaknesses look correctable. As for the Corn, their offense is suspect.

KU's Kerry Meier will still spend some time practicing at the quarterback position, although Coach M
This can't be good news. Where's Pick?
I hope we get way ahead in the early games and let's see what Pick can do. I hate seeing Meier having to take snaps.

Something to prove
I have heard rumors that Jake is running crazy 40 times this summer, like 4.4, 4.3....
That's in Maclin territory.
Anyone have any color on this?

Reesing rising
Keegan's right. Reesing was even MORE impressive in the spring game than usual. Yes, part of it was young corners who looked totally lost. Of course, Reesing's looking one way and throwing the other may have had someting to do with that. HE WAS TOYING WITH OUR 2 DEFENSE, LIKE A CAT WITH A CORNERED MOUSE, even without Briscoe.
One bone of contention, Mr. Keegan: Mizzery as a "heavyweight" this year? Cited alongside OU, TX, even the Corn pone?....... Pleeeeeease.....

Signs of spring
An excellent article. I can't wait. And hope that we have some spring weather for the spring game.
I would add that I look for a big year from Jonathan Wilson. If Briscoe gets his act together, Reesing may have an embarrassment of riches to throw to.
I would also like to see Jake S. get some help at RB. He is too small to carry the ball 20 times a game. Yes, he is tough as nails and will take as much punishment as required, but he was beaten to a pulp by the MU game last year. Someone please step up.
LB will be an adventure, especially early. I look for Angus to make some mistakes early, to have Mangino screaming at him when he blows a play, and to deliver some ferocious hits too. It should be fun!!
A mark of success in the early season will be how much playing time Kale gets. I would like to see him playing most of the second half in the early games. Let's hope we are that far ahead!!!!
ARE YOU FIRED UP YET!!!!!!

City Commission will take up renaming Missouri Street north of Memorial Stadium
I am surprised this has not happened ALREADY!!! Moving at a nice leisurely government pace, I suppose.
Fambrough Way or Street is just about right.
"Missouri" is an obscenity in Free State country; it should have been changed long ago.
