Does Tech believe in miracles? Yes!
The only downside to the KU abuse of our poor cousins is that we sealed "Scary Smart" Prince's fate.

Men 2 Boyz
What a wonderful literary adventure regarding your coming of age--right out of "Summer of '42." Unfortunately, this is a blog about football.
Have you considered any job openings in Columbia?

Keegan: Defense, not QB, to blame
In the big picture, this team has more talent than last year's team but our inexperience is killing us. Thus, the distribution on what could happen (barring key injuries etc) is wider this year than usual. 7-5 maybe if we can't get any breaks and don't improve, 9-3 if we get our sh** together.
Which will it be? That's why we have the Buddha. Our chances of coming out on the high end of this are better with Buddha.
Playing in our conference does not help, maybe not the SEC from top-to-bottom, but every bit as tough at the top.

Keegan: Defense rock-solid in debut
What is the story on Hatch? Injury? Doghouse? What?

Fine first impression
On Daymond Patterson, all I can say is I am not surprised. He came in at 5' 9", 161 lbs (was listed as a little bigger than that last night) but was a TX first-team all state. That tells you a lot right there. And Tejas passed on him.
Keep sending these guys up here, bevos!

Backpacks banned from KU football stadium
I want to take my camera this year, an SLR with 180mm telephoto lens. Does anyone know if I can take this into the stadium? (It replaces the whisky flask of my misspent youth).

KU football releases depth chart
I am delighted to see Wheeler emerge. He is so long that he will give QBs fits.
This is a very strong team. I don't think people realize how talented this group is because the new guys coming in are very green but very talented. Look at the size of our OL: this will be by far the biggest OL in our history. We can run the football behind these hogs.
Look at the 2 deep: these are very high quality players. As for depth, this team has more quality depth than last year's team.
Dare I say it, on paper, this team is better than last year's team.

Michael Phelps vs. Todd Reesing
Would it be too much to ask, 5 days before kickoff, that we cover the football team and their first game vs. FL Intl?

Woodling: Sayers utilized properly
The Comet was certainly the greatest cut-back runner to ever lace them up. He could run sideline-to-sideline, turn on a dime, make people miss in a crowd, simply amazing. He was the definition of a "hold-your-breath" runner every time he touched the ball.
My first KU game, I think it was 1964, OU was stupid enough to kick the ball deep to Gayle on the opening kickoff. He took the ball up the student sideline, made at least 4 people miss in a crowd, cut back clear across the field and ran it into the south endzone on the alum side. I think it was a 91 yd return.
Needless to say, I have been hooked ever since.
