KU coughs it up

I get so tired of reading the comments on here about "Reesing deserves to play, remember the Orange Bowl" People that is 2 dang years ago. Get a grip on the here and now. Reesing has been awful! You don't allow a player to basically lose games on his own, and continue to do so because of 2 years ago. I am sure most people want the football team to be a contender every year, and we are at that point, well at least we should be. There is a point in time at a program like ours, that you either just stay a 6-6 team or you climb the ranks and play for conference titles. We are now currently at that crossroad.
Now that I have got that out of my system, a couple points:
Our ofensive play calling has been ludacris the past 3 games. I still believe Briscoe is one of the best WR's in college football, and we used to put pressure on the defenses we played by the threat of running him deep. We stopped that after the Colorado loss. And would it honestly kill us to line up in I formation a few times a game put opurum at FB and Sharp at tailback? You got to be able to run the ball.
Even though Kstate ran the ball right down our throats when it counted, if you would have told me that K-State would score 17, I would have said Victory. It's odd to think, that if our offense could do anything at all. . . . . our makeship defense plays well enough to win that game. Heck our makeship defense had us down 14-6 at half to OU and that was with 3 Reesing Picks. Heck We were up 21-14 at the end of the third against Texas Tech but when you lose 4 fumbles (2 by Reesing) you can't expect to win.

FINAL: Colorado defeats Kansas, 34-30

I am sick and tired of watching our defense think they are just good enough to shoulder people to the ground. Wrap Up!

Mizzou alums seek KU students of similar stripe

Great not only do we have to have missouri fans pictures on this site, they get an article about them. Why oh why would a KU site put together an article that brings publicity to this group? They need no publicity, they deserve no publicity. They did however deserve to get slapped over the thought of this group. But no that would make no sense. Instead write an article to give them publicity.

Change coming to KU football

The thing that concerns me most is our defensive line. We are SLOW. There is no pressure while just bringing our front 4. There isn't this year, and there wasn't last year. The coachs noticed this last year and began brining Holt to defensive end on obvious passing downs. Because our defensive line is so slow every quarterback has all day to throw, and gets to abuse our weaker secondary.
SO here's the deal either find some speed sitting around on that bench to put pressure on the QB or prepare for the better teams in the Big 12 to embarass our defense.

FINAL: KU defense buckles down in fourth quarter of 35-28 win over Southern Miss

Ok one more thing, I am a firm believer that there isn't anyone in the nation that can cover briscoe deep. I know all the talk is Dez Bryant, but for me I feel Brisoce is almost unstoppable. Southern Miss is sitting on our short screens, and five yard outs. They are fricken sitting there waiting cause thats all we are running right now. For god sake give Briscoe a chance deep. UNSTOPPABLE.

FINAL: KU defense buckles down in fourth quarter of 35-28 win over Southern Miss

Couple things that bother me:
There has been moments in time S. Miss has rushed 3 and got pressure on Reesing (Very sad)
Our defensive line has got zero pressure on S. Miss (once again very sad)
On 2 touchdowns today we have been unable to cover the fatest tightend in NCAA history. Sad.

Miles relishes time overseas

How about the forgot about football movie "The Program" come on the roids that made Latimer that was great. Or the "Unecessary Roughness." If memory serves me correct the Texas State Armadillos played the Jayhawks in that movie. And what's his name from Quantum Leap played a 40 year old quarterback. just great.

NBA rebounding stats a little misleading

I can honestly say I zoned out after the first couple lines of this article. I mean this article is actually about the NBA and wether or not they rebound during the regular season. If someone could point out to me at all how this applies to KU sports, please feel free. Go write an article about NBA rebounding, on a NBA chat.

Jayhawks basking in glow

I must say I am surprised and pleased with the results of making the sweet 16. I never would have thought after watching Michigan State making us look foolish in the early part of the year, that we would get a chance to avenge that loss. If we make the same effort to pound the ball inside first and play through the post, I think we have a real shot of seeing the Elite 8. Go Hawks!
On a side note I just read an article on yahoo sports about training after college football, and the writer interviewed Josh Freeman, as former Kansas quarterback. HA! they can keep his 0-3 record against the hawks in Manhattan.
