Woodling: Roy still popular topic
1. If Kansas Basketball has a greater tradition than UNC and their first legendary coach came from the great Jayhawk tradition, who's program has more tradition?
2. If Kansas fans bleed twice as much college basketball than the wine and cheese crowd of North Carolina, and North Carolina fans bleed 100 gallons of basketball, how much do Kansas Fans bleed?
3. If I could give a sh!t 50 times less about Roy Williams than I could about North Carolina, and I care 0% about Carolina, how much of a sh!t less do I care for Roy Williams?
4. And if Bill Self > Roy Williams. Who is the better coach?
Study hard! Your quiz will be tomorrow.

A cure for KU's ails
kushaw--
Do you have a job? Are you lobbying to get one on the KU staff?
"Strategies do need to be talked about because obviously the strategies that are currently being employed are not working..."
What cracks me up the most, in your infinite desire to inform us all of your basketball expertise, is that you actually think any one with a true link to the KU staff is reading this. You would have a better chance going to coach Self's house, I'm sure you probably know where it is, get a bull horn, and shout all of your thoughts over his back yard fence. Or maybe a big sign. Yeah...that would work. You could map out your "X's and O's" on a big sign, and stand next to his driveway. I'm sure he'd bring you a cup of coffee and invite you into his breakfast nook for a chat. No, I've got it. You should go to Jayhawk Towers, set up a secret meeting with the players, and just go over coach Self's head. He really doesn't know what he's doing. I for one think your the man for the job.
Seriously, all nay-saying turds: Support your team. (They're kids and make mistakes. They had a lot on their plate this week.) Ride out the highs and lows. (It's the best sport in the world because of the quick variation between the two.) Stop putting down people that have a little faith in this team. (Otherwise you are fair weather.)
THIS TEAM WILL BE FINE. They stunk it up these past few days. Big deal. If they want to win, (and you can't argue that they don't,) they will bounce. Mark my words: This team, when running on all cylinders, will peak in March.

Chalmers' last gasp three misses long, Texas ousts KU in Austin, 72-69
KU--
"Why don't WE ever shoot lights out from 3 in a big game?"
Did you play tonight?
Did any of you play tonight? Because when you constantly refer to the team as we, I would assume you did. Here's the deal, sparkies. THEY win. THEY lose. Our job is to support them and have fun. Are you having any fun? or are you all just p!ssed that WE lost and can't sleep. (If you can't sleep, maybe YOU should go to the neighborhood gym and work on your perimeter jump shot.) The Hawks will bounce back. Relax. Have some faith.

Guaranteed: K-State ends 24-year home court drought to KU, 84-75
cklarock. I enjoyed your post as well. It's interesting that we wrote our posts almost at the same time with similar thoughts. I'm tired of the agitated mentality after games, especially on the message boards. We've got a great team, our opponents playing well only helps us. Seems simple enough. Good to have a kindred spirit.

Guaranteed: K-State ends 24-year home court drought to KU, 84-75
Is it possible to be happy for K-State as a Kansas fan? Granted it sucks to loose. We're Jayhawks, and we're not used to it. But it also sucks a lot more to lose all those games to an instate rival without a single win, right? I felt bad for the Wildcats.
They put their faith in a guy with questionable character. Huggins said the right things, told 'em that things would be different this time, and just like most good Kansas folks do, they trusted the guy. Big mistake. Big Mess. And they were lucky that they had an option to keep their good players. Now this one season...that's it. If they were to win a game and break the streak, it should be this one.
It's easy to p!ss and moan until we get revenge. It's easy to blame it on refs, players, coaches. It's easy to fall for all the posers on this chat board who are writing in from Columbia and Manhattan, but why? We as Kansas basketball fans are smarter than that right?
This is probably the best team to suit up as Jayhawks since Raef, Paul, Scott and the 22-0 Hawks. It's a privilege to watch them play. Why don't we put it in perspective and just be glad the K-State's players didn't act like total scumbags out on the court like Missouri ALWAYS does. They played hard, backed up their play and got it done. I for one say congrats.

Pick this: MVP Talib paces Jayhawks to 24-21 win in Miami over Virginia Tech
Congratulations Jayhawks! This is a day I've been waiting for since I was a kid. Upwards and onwards from here. Now let's enjoy the recruits that should roll into the Jayhawk Nation. I can't imagine a better recruiting tool than this win. Yes!

KU snaps Miami's 44-game defensive streak, rolls RedHawks 78-54
Mizzou loses to Illinois. Love that. Illinois fans chant BCS at the end of the game. Love that more. Ha.
