Wright’s role clarified
lighthawk, they do not have practice on Mondays. They practice on Sundays instead.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Mangino has always had his favorites and always picks a few players to put in his doghouse. It's called the "whipping boy syndrome".

KU football kicker: ‘Stay slow, stay balanced’
He kicks off the way the coaches tell him to kick it. Blame the pooch kicks on Mangino.
They usually tell him to kick it with a lot of heighth to it, so the players can have time to run down and cover it.

KU coach kinder, gentler
yates, sounds like your old HS coach should have been fired years ago.
I just don't understand the mentality that, just because abuse has happened before or somewhere else, that it makes it okay to be done over and over again somewhere else.

Longhorns roll over embattled KU
Toto, there are 8 teams in the Big12 qualified for bowl games right now and we are the only other team that can become bowl eligible. ksu is not because they played two Div II teams and only one can count as a win.
If we beat Misery, then we will be the 9th team qualified. The only way we will go to a bowl game is if UT is in the Championship game and OSU goes to the Fiesta bowl.
OSU needs to beat OU and hope they are selected over a team like Iowa.

Losing streak ‘hurts’ Jayhawks
Dugan, no mention of the KU LB transferring out?
Vernon Brooks has left the team and is transferring somewhere yet inknown to him.
Good luck but don't let the door hit you in the backside.

Limited production
Natehawk, look at the stats. TO has had two fumbles all year. Hell our qb has been averaging that per game.
HCMM has been as stubborn as the Chiefs, when it comes to letting the running game get going.

Suddenly, Kansas vexed by run
Should have went with the Blue pants!
Also, like someone said earlier, if a player is not getting the job done on offense, why not try other players like they did with the defense.

New-look O-line improved
FYI, Daymond Patterson was a no-show because he has an injured ankle.

Dugan Arnett’s KU football notebook
"on offense, it's all about the running game. if we could run the ball better...then our short routes wouldn't get jumped so quickly. the defense would actually have to respect the run...and therefore ALL the pass routes would be more open...downfield and the wide screens. it all goes hand in hand."
mvjay, I agreed with almost everything you had to say except for this clip of yours above. If we were running the ball better and they had to respect us for that, then that would mean they would have 8 or 9 guys "in the box". If they were up close and in the box, that would take away the quick slants, not open them up. What opens up the quick slants is the threat of the "deep ball", where the dbs are playing way off the line of scrimmage.
ROCK CHALK!

Back on track?
cg1029, good points.
As far as Jake being caught from behind, if you watch the play again you can see when he reaches an OU player, he has to take a step to the side and this is what allowed the OU DB to catch him.
