Confident Collins has green light to shoot
Maxhawk is correct. Stallworth does have the record for most FGA in a game. He had 38 in the Missouri game where he scored 50 (2-26-72).

Elijah Johnson officially signs with KU
KC Star story about Elijah and his relationship with his autistic brother is a good read. I thought it said a lot about this young man and how grounded it appears that he is even though he's the top player in Vegas, a town full of show. Great to have him in the program.

Walk-on guard joins Jayhawks
I'm curious how the LJW got Olan Mills to give up his senior picture for the website. Does anyone know if the pic is even of Jordan or did they just use the picture that came with a frame from (insert your favorite national chain store here)? I hope it didn't cost them too much.
Congrats to Jordan, the true student-athlete not on scholarship, playing just to play, with no eye toward "The League."

KU's Little working with bigs
5Decade- Your proposed idea makes too much sense for it ever to be adopted by the NCAA.

KU guard Reed finally takes a much-needed break
Sounds like Tyrel's dad has passed along a little bit of his knack for coaching to his son. I really like the fact that Tyrel stepped up and took the time to help the young guys get a head start on things this summer. The program lost a large portion of its family at the end of last season, but the few remaining guys will perpetuate that bond and continue to put team ahead of individual.

KU guard Reed finally takes a much-needed break
Not being eligible through the Clearinghouse doesn't mean they CAN'T attend classes. As long as they have been accepted by the university, they can go to class just like any student. They are CHOOSING not to attend class because as soon as they do, their eligibility clock starts ticking down. Not going to class until they are cleared is a safety measure.
Actually, choosing not to attend class is a little strong. I'm betting its a mutually agreed upon course of action by the family and the program to protect their athletic interests. But they could still choose to go to class if they wanted to.
They'll be cleared in due time, but it is unfortunate they didn't have this stuff worked out early enough that they could have benefited from these extra days of practice.

KU to place trees along new practice fields
If the wish was to have a complete football facility at the stadium with practice fields close so we didn't lose time to travel to and from the fields, anybody else have any good ideas where you could have put those practice fields where they wouldn't have been seen? I don't see how you could have ever had a practice field not easy to see considering the entire complex/stadium is at the BOTTOM OF A HILL!!! Somebody was going to see regardless. I guess the building could have been placed where the fields are and vice versa, but that probably wouldn't have been to Coach Mangino's liking either because the building wouldn't have had the great view of the stadium. Pick your poison, kids.
You couldn't put the fields in the middle of the hill because the biggest gripe everyone had when this project started was don't mess up the hill too bad.
You can complain that something wasn't a good decision, but unless you have an viable alternative, you're not adding anything to the conversation.
The bubble is probably the best option, but I'm guessing the University wouldn't be too happy to lose the nice view of the stadium from the Union. Also, we'll probably have to wait until we get somemore cash. I'm guessing the bubble itself probably isn't too expensive in terms of material, but those kids are just going to cook during these summer months if you don't condition it somehow and that will cost. And considering we don't fully know the extent of the Kivisto situation, we may still need cash to finish paying for what we've got.

President Bush welcomes Jayhawks to the White House
Thank you adamjhwkfan. That is what I was afraid of. I hope his mom isn't having any more problems. Unfortunate that with all the things he's had to go through, he has to miss this trip.

President Bush welcomes Jayhawks to the White House
I noticed Darnell was not in the picture with the whole team. Anyone know where he was at?
I hope he didn't drink about 15 Dr. Peppers and had to go pee. But seriously, I'm hoping it was because he's working out for some team so he makes a roster somewhere.
