Facts are stubborn things. Sharp has a 4.5 ypc and Toben is 4.3, not significantly different but clearly Sharp is not inferior to Toben. Also, Sharp has breakaway speed which Toben doesnt. Sharp is a better reciever and able to do more after the catch than Toben, And Sharp is a better pass blocker. Sharp gives us more options and is flat out a better all-around football player... Toben has his purpsose and gets a decent number of touches to showcase his talents and will be well prepared for next year. I don't notice anything on here other than pure opinon as to why Toben should be out there, with the exception that he falls forward and Sharp falls backward. While I don't agree with that, it is also worth noting that Toben fumbles and Sharp really doesnt. Regardless, I just want us to get back to winning and I think Sharp puts us in the best position to do that.

Opurum may be equalizer
Before everyone jumps ship with Sharp. How about we give him ONE GAME, just one game, where he gets at least 20 carries. Toben has over 40 more carries than Sharp (partly as a result of injury). Sharp has a slight edge YPC and he is more of a boom or bust running back, give him a good amount of carries and he will bust a few. Also, in watching games, and despite conventional wisdom given the size difference, Sharp is a much better pass blocker... i encourage anyone to watch them during the games if they disagree with the blocking statement.

My solution. An old fashion "dance off"... loser has to give an autograph session for charity.

Self issues statement on Buford incident
I say as a punishment Coach Self actually have him "make" the team as other walk-ons have to do... as opposed to just having his position IMO undeservedly handed to him.

K-State donors angered
njjayhawk, this is a large payment coming from a university in the state of Kansas, which makes this money state funds. It is definitely a worthy news story. I am not a fan of K-State, but as a Kansan it is embarrassing that an institution of higher learning in our state was able to squander such a substantial amount of money for a coach that NO ONE in the country wanted and during a time when funding issues is a university's paramount concern.

KU, MU reach agreement to continue Border War at Arrowhead through 2012
This is VERY disheartening and frustrating, I wish my university valued the sentiments of its fans, both kansans and alums, to allow our University to play our home games in our state. Also, the athletic dept is not putting our football team in a better position to win. We will never have a majority of fans at this game (last year as the home team it was conservatively 55% MU fans). I do hope I am wrong about the attendance disparity, but if we couldnt do it with the team we had last year I don't see us doing it over the next 5 years. BEWARE, just wait until they get a hold of MU/KU basketball and move it to the Sprint center.

Three freshmen can play
Releford can play too, I don't know why he isnt getting more minutes. When he is in good things seem to happen and the kid has a nose for the ball. I know it is early but I really hope he gets more opportunity in games than what I saw in this tourney.

Are we this stupid, or is MU that smart?

Mayer: Gold may bless U.S. again
I love how unquestioned loyalty to your country is perceived as being old fashioned. If someone is putting on the stars and stripes I want them to win, PERIOD. Sorry there are bitter Jayhawk fans who are jealous of what capitalism has provided NBA players.

Video room marvels minds at complex
Why are we hiring a guy who played baseball in college to be a grad assistant for the football team?
