Michigan soph eager to break out

I believe UK's action show that they know they are not getting Daniels, and they want to move forward with signing a recruit like Trevor Lacey. By being aware that they are on the outside looking in, they can refocus on other recruits. Pretty good move on their part as Lacey has probably been feeling second-fiddle to Daniels for some time.

As for Daniels, there have been reports about Daniels preferring UK but his father preferring KU. I do not know the truth to those reports, but UK's action should make us feel a lot safer. Once Daniels gets on KU's campus, he'll realize he made the right decision and never regret it for a minute.

Tyrel Reed emerges as ‘face’ of KU basketball team

I'm assuming 4,000 to 5,000 students were chanting his name. If you were at the games during Selby's suspension, you would hear the students chanting "We Want Selby!" The entire crowd was not chanting it since everyone knew that it wasn't happening. The students and some non-students like to get recruits pumped, but not all non-students follow recruiting like we do.

KU basketball's Josh Selby proves 'tough' in Allen Fieldhouse debut

Hope you don't mind that I add to your list:
#7- Your complain about Releford being undersized for a 3, but you list Keith Langford who is actually shorter and lighter.

#8- Look at the SF position in college. Many teams run a 3 guard lineup. As a matter of fact, Illinois owns/shares the most wins in a season in 2004-05 with a team that started 3 guards, 1 SF, and 1 PF.

Jeff Withey returns to drills for Jayhawks

I think many people are including Morningstar because HCBS has gone to him multiple times as a starter. Not too many people will say that Brady has more talent or a better basketball player than any other individual on the team, but HCBS apparently trusts Brady over some of the other guys right now.

Trust me... I am not a Brady fan. I do not agree that he is a lock-down defender, and I believe that he can sometimes kill the flow of the offense. I think Johnson, Little, and Releford should all play over Brady, but I know that's not going to happen until HCBS trusts them. Right now, none of those 3 have played enough time to gain that trust.

Fun lineup for me to watch:
Selby
Taylor
Johnson
Mc Morris
Mk Morris

Now that is a running team!

Jeff Withey returns to drills for Jayhawks

I respectfully agree with you about Marcus. I have heard through interviews and read articles that suggested HCBS would like to see Marcus on the perimeter at some point.

With the injuries and lack of experienced depth down low, I agree that his chances of seeing the 3 spot are slim. Hopefully T-Rob and Withey step their games up this year. Withey can be a game changer with his length and athletic ability for blocking shots. T-Rob will develop with time.

Jeff Withey returns to drills for Jayhawks

Unfortunately, I think Little will come off the bench until we get our full depth back at the 4 & 5 spots. Whithey isn't 100% so that leaves just 3 true big guys and Little filling in at the 4 spot.

Eventually, it'd be nice to see Marcus play some 3 as well. Although it was Washburn, Marcus did play some perimeter defense fairly well. It'd be nice to see what he can do against D-1 talent.

As for the 1st game starting lineup, I could see TT, Tyrel, Brady, Morris Twins.

Hopefully by the time Selby is eligible, Selby, TT, Reed, Morris Twins.

Markieff Morris to miss 7-10 days with injury

I think Nash would be an excellent pickup by the KU staff. I stumbled upon the following article and thought the comment posted by green bear was promising. I'm not saying that green bear is a reliable source, just found it promising. I'm not getting my hopes up too high, but I'd definitely love to see him wearing a KU jersey for at least one season.

KU hot on trail of Kansas prep Perry Ellis

I agree that he and Zach would be a nice duo at the forward spots. The muscle mass will come, but just a note... Perry is working on his perimeter game to play small forward. He's realized that his frame is very suitable for a 6'8" to 6'10" combo forward instead of a post player. Definitely will help his draft position to the NBA if he can work on perimeter defense and quick feet. Sounds like his outside shot and handles are coming around.

Zach's frame is much more suited for the post position. He'll add even more bulk by the time he arrives on campus.

Ohio State’s Turner takes Wooden honor over Collins, field

I'm confused.... why are so many people confusing Josh Selby for Josh SHELBY? Is it because that terrible announcer, Jason Williams (stupid dukie/dookie), was calling him that at the Mickey-D's event? Anyways, please start praying that Josh Selby comes to KU. Not sure if this Shelby guy is as good.

Also, anyone thoughts on Self possibly recruiting our top 3 targets (Selby, Lamb, Jones) with the thoughts in mind that if by some grace from above, all three decide to come, Morningstar would give up his scholly?

Or maybe he is secretly planning on Brady going to Europe like one rumor I heard... quite a funny rumor! I mean it doesn't make sense how that rumor ever came about. I mean, I could understand an 18 yr old going to europe because the drinking age is 18 in most parts, but Brady is what... like 36 or something?

Collins to learn Wooden fate today

I believe Terrence Jones has been high on KU for some time, but from items that I have read, it is his mother that is not sold on KU.

I'm expecting Terrence to be a player that could be sold on medium playing time with the notion that he'll be able to make the tremendous leap that the Morris twins took after their freshman seasons. Danny could work his magic with Terrence, and the twins (hopefully) will be draft ready after their junior years which would open an opportunity to compete with Robinson and Whithey for a starting job.
