Withey's welcome warm

The economy.... how about foreign policy, decrease the military spending and use that money for the poor in America and abroad, stop aiding and abetting in mass genocide, etc. You want college players to stay longer then pay them, they bring in billions of dollars with TV contracts, give a stipend to the players that bring it in!!!

If playing him is wrong, his name must be Julian Wright

No, Actorman, you dummy, college players do NOT practice more than NBA players, it is quite the opposite and should be pretty obvious if you are not stupidOf course you will get better in the NBA than in college, you have so much more time to work on your game, no school or homework or playing out of position for years (Julian at the 4 in college), you can just focus on your game, I mean the team that drafted you has a multi-million dollar investment in you so they have great incentive to help you improve as well

Slipping away :

Ya, we just aren't very good at football, we need to stick with basketball cause KU just isn't a football school and no matter how much everybody may want it to be so ONE GOOD YEAR out of a 100 does not make us good at football, Nebraska just has so much more tradition and so many more good players than we do we are lucky it was as close as it was.

Arthur investigation re-opened by school district

No, its not a tough break for KU and no it won't hurt recruiting, how in the hell would it do that? see above post about how KU is not involved in this.

Mayer: KU duo must earn it

There is nothing wrong with smoking weed. There is nothing wrong with having sex.If someone thinks these things are wrong and tries to stop you from doing them you are not wrong for lying about them or covering up your actions as that may be necessary to avoid unjust scorn. If you want to learn stuff from PhD's who require that you pay them but who will wave the fee if you play basketball and you like basketball then of course you will take their offer and play basketball. If those people who paid your tuition (or salary) tell you its wrong to smoke pot or have sex then you are not wrong for ignoring them and doing it behind their back while continuing to learn and play basketball.Bottom line: weed and sex are not wrong so anyone or any institution who says you cannot or should not do these things is not justified in their stance and you are thus not obligated (morally) to comply or to respect or acknowledge their opinion.

Mayer: KU duo must earn it

"I could reel off 10 or so names of Jayhawks who think Bill Mayer has more dues to pay to all the poor unfortunate b*stards who read this article before he's fully reinstated in the chapter house."
