Robinson not just a ‘motor’
I like the Blake Griffin comparison ....Thomas Robinson future top 5 pick.... :-) I'm just glad Coach Self grabbed him before he went to the Dark Side (Coach Cal's side)

Swishymcjayhawk...do you have a source?? I really can't imagine Duke being out at this point unless if Harrison finally realized that Duke was not the place for him on his last visit.
I think it's still pretty much a 3-way tie. I'm pretty sure he would love to attend all three schools...
I'm sure he likes the academic side of Duke and the fact that he'll be playing for Coach K but they don't have a business school if I'm not mistaking (only offer business degrees for Grad school at Duke right?). Another problem..Coach K lacks the size inside and Harrison may have to play a lot inside like Kyle Singler
Like many of us, he grew up being an MJ fan and wouldn't mind following MJ's footsteps by going to UNC...Not to mention they have a pretty solid Business school and he'd be playing for Roy Williams. UNC will have size next year so Harrison can play his more natural SG or SF position ...Question: do they have a PG to get Harrison the open looks? I'm not drinking the Larry Drew Kool-Aid and Dexter Strickland is more of a SG.
At Kansas he'll play for a prestigious basketball program with plenty of history and a great coach in Bill Self ( in my opinion ... the most well rounded coach in the NCAA.. Coach stresses D as much as O). Also he's from the midwest so i'm sure he grew up hearing about KU most of his life. Advantage: we're close to home... but just like many other players, his parents could move w/ him to the East Coast.
Many Pros and Cons for Harrison so let's just keep our fingers crossed :-)

Henry scores 22 in junior loss
One thing you guys forgot.. in the 2007 Recruiting battle there was this Kid named Derrick Rose who was down to KU and Memphis...
Even though KU had:
Mario Chalmers, Russell Robinson, Brandon Rush and Sherron Collins on its roster ... The decision was still hard for Rose (until Coach Cal gave him a tricked out 300M...j/k at least that's the rumor)...
As of right now, I don't think anyone knows who's going to play the 2, 3 or 4 position for KU next year.
Tyshawn - good last year but hit the wall pretty hard.
Morningstar - good against less talented teams
Reed - same as Morningstar
Mario Little - played well in 5 or 6 games then disappeared
Morris Twins - took 1 step forward 2 steps back every other game
Thomas Rob. - unproven
EJ - unproven
...meaning a guard of JW's caliber can come in and take one of the 2 or 3 starting guard positions.
I'm not saying he's going to pick KU but whatever HCBS is selling him...he's (somewhat) buying it, and I don't blame him. Look at Bill's gaurds in the past 7 or 8 years.
Derron Williams (lottery), Dee Brown (2nd round), Luther Head (1st round), Brandon Rush (Lottery), Russell (undrafted), Mario Chalmers (2nd round)...
I would say HCBS is pretty good at developing guards, and anything is possible when it comes to HCBS and recruits...Remember, in 2006 he brought in the top 3 Small Forwards... Wright, Downes and Rush in the same class.

Even if Lawson goes pro..they have a McD AA guard coming in as well...They also have a McD AA guard from the 08 class (Larry Drew) so this may hurt their chances of getting Wall.
That being said, I think they still have a good chance of landing him because:
1. I know that both of them (Larry and Strickland) are more of combo guards
2. I know that Wall would like to stay close to home
Like I said, I'd prefer Wall to land at NC State if he doesn't end up at KU.

Henry wants to go to KU, father says
KUfanKam... I also agree w/ you. CJ probably had a lot more influence in X's Memphis decision than most of us would like. I remember in HS when my brother talked me into playing soccer...even though my first love was Football. I bet CJ made the decision extra hard for X... especially if X was only supposed to be in college for a year.

Jayhawks need to think
Dead on Jaybate!!!!
That's what I've been trying to tell people all along.. Sherron doesn't have the personnel around him to have 8 asst/gm stats... Although he does need to keep his cool and keep his TO's down

Brock,
I think you have it mixed up... Lance is the more talented player right now, but X has the higher ceiling. X is a smooth shooting lefty but he doesn't have the ball handling skills or the complete skill set that Lance has, right now. They both have baby-Lebron bodies but Lance can drive, dribble, shoot from mid-range and the 3... X is more of a 3 point shooter and not as good a ball handler. If X can improve the slashing/ ball handling aspect of his game he could be unstoppable...but he doesn't have that yet so he's all about potential...
Lance is a closer to being a finished product (but still has the potential to be an elite player as well).
Lance in Crimson and Blue would be awesome

KU scraps past NU
Exactly!!!! SHERRON IS A STUD!!!! and definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves. I'm not saying this team is bad but we're definitely not in the same class as some of the elite teams in the nation because of youth and lack of experience. That being said, put a Ty Lawson or any other point guard in this line up and we're in trouble. In my opinion, Sherron is one of the most complete guards in the nation. The one knock on him is the turnovers but considering how much he has to make things happen, i'm not suprised at his Ast/TO ratio... This isn't the best comparison but I mean look at D Wade, he's averaging ~ 4 TO/gm... WHY?? because he has the ball in his hands most of the time and he has to initiate the offense for a very average team...I would like for Sherron to cut back on his TO but at the same time I really can't blame him because when he's in the zone, we win games... like what was mentioned above...he has the "IT" factor!!!... too bad he's not 4 inches taller though..oh well he's still my favorite Jayhawk!!

Kansas notebook
Believe me when I say that we need JOHN WALL!!!... especially if Sherron Leaves! His speed, quickness, athleticism and vision is off the charts... I mean his athleticism is equivalent to Derrick Rose (though he's probably not as strong), probably a better pure passer and he's even taller/longer than Derrick. I think he notices that TT is getting lots of playing time this year as a true Frosh and IF Sherron leaves, he could get 30 min/gm next year too.If Sherron leaves and Wall comes here, Imagine how athletic our guards can be...Tyshawn Taylor... Elijah Johnson... John Wall...and a healthy Mario Little..ZoomZoom!!!!
