Henry brothers in no hurry

I too am certainly tired of the Henry(x2)/Stephenson "As the Recruiting Turns" soap opera! My fear is that the Henrys go elsewhere and Sir Lance-alotta-hype is still pissed and goes elsewhere too. So did Coach tell Lance that he wanted to get Henry in here and to hold off an a decision? Can't see that happening. My question is, why didn't Lance just go ahead and commit to KU earlier this week as planned and the Henrys would likely have chosen somewhere else because they're playing the same position and neither primadonna wants to lose playing time to another. Frankly, we're dealing with a HUGE ego if we get either for the next year. Hopefully we'll get the Henrys or Born-Not-So-Ready to make a decision soon and get over themselves. Might help everyone's decision Sherron and Cole decide to stay or go, but that may not happen for another couple weeks and after the signing period.

KU basketball defeats Carleton, 84-83

I watched a lot of this game on line and Carlton was pretty good, they stayed in it and nearly won because of their 3 pt shooting. We didn't defend it very well (again!), not getting through screens, etc. But hey, what do you want for a week of practice with a whole new team and no offensive practice! I'll take the awesome experience...too bad the twins aren't there to learn and bond with the team. IF, we don't have them this year, we are REALLY thin at the 4/5. Hope they're on top of it when they say they expect them to get cleared, then, I hope they stay elegible! Releford looks sweet slashing to the hole with some acrobatic shots and Sherron looked solid at the point. Cole...beast! What a great day for KU. I couldn't be at either game, but I watched the stream of men's basketball on line and listened to football on line! Awesome!!! ROCK CHALK!!!

KU in kemper arena

Has anyone ever considered, what happens if the Sprint Center isn't open by December yet? It's supposed to open in September. Ever hear of construction delays? Union labor issues? Contract hasn't been signed for SC yet! It's not a done deal, much as I'm sure we all hope it was and look forward to the new arena!

Unbearable

djks28, you are an idiot. So I guess all those years when KSU sucked, it was best just to give up on their program and stop trying to make it better. Ya, you're right, they never got good, never went to good bowls or to post-season consistently. MU, they should probably go ahead and chuck the rest of the season because they're never going to be good either. Tell that to their players. I'm as frustrated about the football program as anyone, especially when looking at our schedule this year and next. With Baylor, OSU, and A&M in the south, KU better get things figured out by the 07 season because then we get OU, TX and Tech for two years. KU is young, our secondary stinks and our D-line is not putting any pressure on the QB, not to even get into some of the coaching decisions! The kids play the game but the coaches make the calls and so far, they have proven to be incapable of stepping on the opponent's throat when they have the lead.

Hard as it may be some times, we need to continue to stand by our team, the players and the program. Those will always be here, whereas, coaches change. KU can get back to being in a bowl consistently but it will take a credible coach who can rally his players and find a way to stop opponent's momentum and put a game away when given the chance!
