Probe timing curious
Unfortunately, I think I have to agree with Keegan on this one. I hate to see it just as much as anyone else, but at this point in time, the damage has already been done. Mark Mangino has done miracles for this ball club and for this university. He has brought us the greatest years to date of KU Football, and we all thank him for that. But you cannot say a coach should not be held accountable for his own actions just because of what he has done for us in the past. I am not saying Coach is guilty by no means. I cant and wont say either way. But one thing that I feel is swaying this event to a 'FIRED' stamp at the end of the road is the future of KU Football. One thing AD Perkins has to assess now is, what kind of impact has this had on future recruiting if we keep Mangino. What will that show future interested recruits about our AD. That no matter what the circumstances, KU AD is all about backing up their coaches. That, what is in the best interest of the players, isnt in the best interest of the University. Ultimately, I think that is what is going to break the camels back. I dont think Mangino would be fired for a few incidents on the field. Fined yes, fired no. But it is in too much of the media now and people all over the country know about it, and that hurts. Thats what is going to decide whether Coach Mangino stays or goes. And I think the media has already made that decision.

I am certainly pleased with the progress of the Twin Towers this year. These guys are dominating. This is good news for program in the future. Once Coals gone this year, we're gonna need some experience and domination down low. After this year, these two should be able to hold down the inside pretty good. Amazing what Mr. Manning can do with big guys.

We can "IF" all day long and speculate the outcome, but all we would be doing is wasting air.
I say 'thugish ways' with regards to his attitude and demeanor. His "Pimp Limp" he has when he struts down the floor after a mistake or an in your face possession. Why the f*** cant he just race back to the other end of the court like every other player and get set for the oncoming possession? He has to 'strut his stuff' for some reason. Like, "I KOO, I DA POOP. I just turned the ball over......... BUT I STILL DA POOP."
Surely i'm not the only one that notices/thinks he does this.

They could keep Taylor on the bench for all I care. Hope CJ gets healthy soon enough and is given the chance to start over Taylor. It may just be me, but I see some thugish ways in Taylor. Not a big fan of his so far this year. What did he have, like, 7 turnovers, 5 assists and ZERO buckets? Unacceptable.

KU AD Perkins meets with football players over concerns about coach Mark Mangino
To squash any rumors,
A group of parents and players/former players are coming forth about the verbal abuse players have recieved from Coach Mangino. They have asked that he be relieved of his duties and an assistant coach take over the reigns immediately.

Yea. They do know more than we do. They know exactly what kind of 'under the table' deals Calimari makes with his recruits. Something every single one of us have pondered at one time or another, guranteed.

Harrison Barnes chooses North Carolina
Little early to be focusing so hard on next year isnt it? We are looking at possibly our second NC in 3 years and all we want to focus on is not getting a commitment from a top recruit for next year. You guys can set here and sulk. I'm going to head down to Mass and enjoy this one. I've already requested my leave for the first week of April. Hope most of you have too. See you all on Mass St come April. I'll be the one in a blue shirt with a case of beer in one hand and high fiving with the other.

Coach Self has already prooved he does not need top players out of a class to win National Championships. Thats the one big difference that I see between Coach Williams and Coach Self. Coach Williams has always been a good recruiter, and wins games strictley off talent. Coach Self has also always been a very good recruiter, but wins games off of the fundamentals of coaching and playing basketball. You can have all the talent in the world, but its wasted talent if you do not possess the fundamentals of basketball.
I would take fundamental skill over loads of talent anyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Too much talent is bound to bite you in the butt at some point.
