Williams, Pitino move past 1989 dispute
Well, it may not be the most sportsman like thing to say but I think it's awesome that we put 150 up on Kentucky using the end of our bench. You can't blame the kids at the end of the bench for playing hard. If Kentucky couldn't play hard enough to stop our walk-ons then they deserve to lose by 55.

Upset squared
Wow - I'm really surprised at all of the negativity towards Bill Self. I was disappointed that we lost the game but honestly we're 24-3 all but maybe 5 schools in the country would trade places with us in a minute. Somebody please name for me an out of work coach that is better than Bill Self? (If anybody says Bob Knight I'll laugh hysterically).

100 the hard way
Would all of the posters who are talking about putting Teahan in to shoot 3's buy a clue please? I wonder why he doesn't get into the game when he has several McDonald's All Americans playing in front of him - 3 of which shoot a tremendously high percentage from outside (Rush, Chalmers, Collins), and who arguably make up the best defensive back court in the country. How is it possible that Self doesn't put in Teahan - an underclassmen half as athletic as the starters that can't play defense.
There is a reason that Bill Self is the head coach of the Jayhawks and you guys are anonymous posters on a blog.

Border snore
Not that it's at all related to any topic of discussion on this thread but I was really disappointed that the insert in the paper for the game yesterday was a picture of Oranges.
Us going to the Orange Bowl instead of Missouri had nothing to do with last night's basketball game. Isn't it usually Missouri who has to bring up irrelevant events when trying to talk smacK? I really thought that we had more class and were better fans than that.
There are endless ways to make fun of Missouri's basketball team that would have been far more relevant than talking about an invite to a football game - especially since in the only head to head match up last year they beat us.

Rush's mother knows best
Hey Balkan, if you've never played Division I college basketball at a major university I wouldn't be giving advice to Brandon Rush. I'm not saying you can't have your opinion but if you haven't been in his shoes you can't know what it's like.

KU hauls in $1.26 million from game at Arrowhead
Wow, when I talk about Jayhawk fans to relatives and friends who live out of state and don't have much contact with KU the first thing I mention is how informed and classy we are.
After reading some of these posts I really have to start questioning the informed part. I don't understand the backlash about the game being at Arrowhead. Financially we're going to make 2.5 times what we normally would (and if you read the article the reason Missouri received more money was because KU discounted it's student tickets and MU didn't otherwise we each received the same amount). Both KU and Missouri gave up a home game so it's not like Missouri benefits more than we do. Yes there was a negative financial impact to Lawrence but I have a hard time believing it would outweigh the $1.5 million bonus we're getting not to mention the national exposure which is priceless.
Come on everyone...
